Same here. They quit using the Billy Bob walk around in the restaurant and used Chuck E. Cheese as the walk-around character. About this time for me anyway was when they started using the fake voices and in-house programmed shows that CEI was no longer involved in. I quit going not long after that because to me the concept was going to crap. None of the Pizza Time Theatres I went to were still open at that point and at least in my world the only remnance of it was the walk around inside Showbiz. The Rock-afire shows were really sucking by that point and they weren't the real voices. My last experience with Showbiz was about 1988 and I saw the Tune Machine show in the store. I probably hadn't been to Showbiz Pizza in a year or two by that point. This was at the Monfort location in Dallas, Tx (store #100) that Aaron was at as Billy Bob and it was the first to get what is now known as Studio C (it was originally the Awesome Adventure Machine). That location now sits empty and the store is now down the street in the mall's parking lot. I do not remember what they had for walk arounds at that store. I was slightly re-energized about it again since I was impressed by the show. I didn't ever go back because the Showbiz by my house was out of business at that point and Monfort was a pretty good drive for me plus I was in 6th grade by then and had basically outgrown Showbiz and Chuck E. Cheese.
Hangin' with the rat since 1981...
