When they convert a store from MMBB show to Studio C do they bring in a new control system or use the existing system with new chuck e bot and light effects? seems like they could just use the old control system (lights and bot controller--cyberamic cabnet or grey Creative box) but add DVD players.

The entire old thing is scrapped. Nothing is reused, from what I have seen. Not even the spotlights!

IDK I'd actually rather see them get trashed then them be bought or sold to someone who's gonna turn them into "all new" characters...to me that's kind of stupid... :rolleyes :rolleyes

Especially if you were able to get the CEC or RAE characters with their actual cosmetics...

Trey when a MMBB is changed oover to a studio C set during that time they play music on speakers only. I believe it's the best of if i recall. we talked about this before on the site but i can't find it. I also recall someone said they put up a temporary wall so the contractors tools and stuff don't interfear with the daily operations. I've never seen a MMBB changed into a studio c but have heard it from this site. I also recall someone said they do it at night as well.:D

You'd think they'd send the stuff back to Corperate to be re-used or held for parts in case another store needs the parts. :(

They usually DO keep some of it... They let local techs pick from them if there's another store in that city with the same stage type. Usually the cosmetics are reused or destroyed and cylinders are kept or reused. So most of the time it's just the frame of the character that hits the dumpster and that's nothing but poles.

My experience with a Studio C Conversion was the Studio C was constructed first BEFORE demolition of the old show occured. In this case it was not in the same location. Based on show layouts in my mind...this could generally be the case. Anyone else experience it?

Yeah that's what I've heard... sometimes they're even built behind the existing stage as was the case seen in the pics below from a store in Houston, Tx! ;)

I know in my store we has No show for 4 days! They had to tear the old show out, then board up part of it while they put in the studio C. All the old MMBB was loaded into a uhaul for storage to be re-used as needed.
