Hey Jenn!

I live here in Lakeland, not even an hour away from you right now!

Yep...I've been to almost all of the Florida CEC's...and I work at the one here in Lakeland.
Have a great time while you're down here!...and if you get any free time, maybe we could meet up!

I'd be up for that ...but i don't think i will be able to this time as i leave tomorrow ( booo!!).

One of these trips down i HAVE to make it back over to my old stomping grounds in Brandon. I wuld really like to see what has become of the place since i was last there in 82'.

I was up for visiting the I-Drive location here in Orlando but those desires were dashed when i learned they trashed their 3-Stage. I used to go there whenever i visited WDW as it used to be a Showbiz. The I-Drive Showbiz i have fond memories of. It was "my" Showbiz" and even though i did'nt get to go there much, it was awesome when i did. The RAE was incredible there....i always looked forward to our lunch there ...me and my Mom would hit it during one of the days we were in the area.

Man those were the days!

Chuckette, your old store had the fake curtains with this setup...well, the North Olmstead store actually has WORKING CURTAINS on theirs. I was shocked!

Also, as for asking Michael for the list, I'm guessing that list wouldn't break down the styles of Studio C, so it really wouldn't be worth wasting his time. We're doing a good job so far. :)

Wasn't Fullerton the last three stage in california? Since Escondido closed last year and now this?

bzier
09-22-2007, 06:49 PM
Nope. Visalia still has their 3-stage. They're the only one left in the state of California now. I visited Visalia on my way back up to Sacramento after Cheesevention 4. It looked pretty good, but Jasper was the ONLY character that had air going through his lines. You could hear a really bad air leak trying to go out to the other characters.

The Ratman
09-22-2007, 08:53 PM
So the last three 3-stages in california were Visaila, Fullerton, and Escondido.
Studio C's are invading California. San Diego alone has three. Vista, the new Escondido store ,and Oceanside (one of the first to get beta).

They used to have a 1 stage. Honestly though, this makes me wonder about the Mira Mesa store on Hibert, they as far as I know have a 2 stage.

Do any of the new ones have the stage show?

CEC3066
04-29-2008, 03:47 PM
all CEC locations have a show. each locations show varies depending on when it opened . The two oldest Chuck E. Cheese shows in the chaiin are located at the Chuck E. Cheese's in Simi Valley CA and Rockford ,IL. the oldest Studio C woulf be the one in Brookfield WI (while not the FIRST one at a store, the first Studio C store no longer exsists)

Larry the Tech
04-29-2008, 04:02 PM
The oldest one-stage is in Irving, TX, also the first one stage. Does anyone know which store got the first Road or 2 stage, or which one is the oldest of them today?

bzier
04-30-2008, 09:26 AM
tomarkenfan, to answer your question, all new stores that open nowdays get Studio C. It's a cheaper crappier verion of the original concept of Studio C. It only has a Chuck animatronic. They don't make full-band stage shows anymore.
Hopefully, someday soon, we'll see a new full band show produced again. It can't cost THAT much extra, can it?

YoungCaliHottie

shameful... I think that the new stores should have the latest in anamatronics.. something needs to be done to correct their cheepness... Anamatronics should be treated better then that....:bbsad:

Just saying what I know...

When my GM worked at E. Washington location in Indianapolis she said that she spent hundreds of dollars to keep their 3 stage is GOOD working condition. She bought things that when in the character's joints so they wouldn't wear as fast and to stop them from squeeking. She hasnt worked their in years and when I was last there (with travelin chuck so it was Octoberish time) the stage or the show was not up and working at all. The 3 stage over at 38th street in Indianapolis was in ok condition. It squeeked and crecked but it was enjoyable to watch. I video taped it... if I can drag it out of my camera I will upload it on youtube.

If it wasnt for studio c I don't think that the MMBB stages would be as enjoyable as they are. Though both stores are in really bad naighborhoods I don't mind driving up there to have the memories of when I was a child. I remember the store I went to down in florida as a kid had pizza cam and him and Pasqually where my favorite characters to watch.

And yes, everyone is cutting corners today. People will do anything to cut off a few hundred dollars out of any budget. :p

Can franchises get something other than the 'Studio C' now-a-days or do they have a choise???

bzier
05-01-2008, 10:16 AM
I personally think that if a franchise approached corporate and told them they'd fork out the extra money to have a custom full band show produced for their store, corporate would do it. Why? Extra money.

My buddies and I are trying to find somebody wealthy enough to do something like this, and then we'd run their store for them! ;)
