These names for Studio C were given by Jenn. The ORIGINAL concept was conceived by ex Entertainment Director James Newberry, the latter two versions were designed by CEC's R&D Dept

This kills me....
quote: "the latter two versions ( of Studio C) were designed by CEC's R+D Dept."
R+D Department?? WTFudge is a R+D Dept doing designing show stages? Is'nt that the ENTERTAINMENT DEPT's area??
Argh...i guess this explains why the latter two versions of this Stage are so hated by the fans.....they were designed by people who are more familair with numbers then showcasing!
Dept 18 should have had control over such a thing as designing the stages, not a Research + Developement dept! It's bad enough the Entertainment Dept LOST half of their studio to new R+D Offices at CECE. Grrrrrrr.......>:
How the heck does that make sense? I guess one can easily see where the focus is with CEC these days....less on "Entertainment" and MORE on how to find ways to cut back and cut corners to increase the profit margin. I know this is important to a business, but it should not be done at the expense and sacrifice of the GUEST EXPERIENCE. Think about this .......
Sorry for the rant.....i like the Studio C concept ( Alpha only) but i don't like it when i see the great concept that IS ( or WAS?) Chuck E. Cheese's sink into the hole of vapidness.
On a lighter note....
Thanks Danny for remembering me! :D

R&D's gotta research a whole lot and make sure the shows gonna last and be affordable. I think if people in the Ent. dept got to look around/design the show they'd be sent back to the drawing board about 50 times just cause most of them, like us want it to be the biggest thing at CEC, whereas the money dept just wants it to be cost effective...|I

The Entertainment Dept would only really consider ideas from a Creative standpoint. They may design the light show and say "I want it to do this and that" but R&D looks at the whole picture, cost, design, shopping to find a company to build it etc. So R&D would have a bigger hand in it. Basically Entertainment just tells R&D what they would like and their ideas and R&D impliments it and does all the feasibility studies.

Ah...very well then......
I see the R+D department did their job rather well when it came to re-designing Studio C into the "Beta" and "Alpha" modes......
Now that's what i call being 'cost effective".......:|

So when do you guys think we'll see the next incarnation of Studio C? Alpha came out in '97 or '98, Beta in 2001, and Cappa in '04. It's now 2007, and if the trend continues, it should be in the next year or so. What do you guys think? And what do you think they'll do differently?
I also honestly hope to see the curtains return to the shows soon. I'm so sick of Chuck just moving around aimlessly.

That's great news! I really helps the show seem like a SHOW! I know this will help a bit with the confusion with 2 Chucks.

Ok the post I'm replacing was idiotic so I figured I'd use this space to ask a real question...do stores with alpha that are getting a P4 remodel do anything to those stages? Like will it too be converted to the new outfit and lose the desk etc...?
I only ask because like Chucki233 the closest one to me is the Round Rock, Tx location which is supposed to be getting P4 so if anything's changing with the stage I'd like to try to make it out there one last time to see it with the curtains...
