The Jungle Jim's website at www.junglejims.com recently updated the "Singing Characters" section of their website adding a photo of the recycled CECPTT black Warblettes at the Petland sign. Hope anyone noticed even if you never visited Jungle Jim's in Ohio.

I didn't know that. I have been there and it's an awesome place. You can't take any pics so I am really glad there is a pic of them now. Pedro the singing Mariachi (SP?) man is an old half body character. He's a modified Pasqually mask and cosmetics on a CEC or guest star frame. At a distance, you can see the top of his sombraro is really Pasqually's Chef's hat. Warblettes, King and Pedro are the only 3 CEC characters there but they do have several other non-CEC shows. Anyone whoever has a chance to go to Cincinnati definately needs to go there.

There were some black Warblettes on Ebay yesterday. I almost won them. I was the only bid til last sec and about 5 sec. before it ended someone threw in a huge bid and I lost. The item # is 6335407481 if anyone wants to see it. I wonder who showbizpizzainc is. I'm guessing it's someone from the board.

Yeah I was going to bid on these... if I would have known they were going to go for under $600 I would have tossed my bid in the hat.

I don't know who the high bidder is though. All I know is that I've lost a few high-dollar items to them in the past. :(

Hey Folks,
I was there last summer and the only CEC charater I saw move was the KING. I thought I saw the Warbelttes move a little.I sent Jasper or Veganova scans of my pictures.Be sure to ask the office for a press pass to take pictures. They are real touchy about people taking pictures for some unknown reason.

later,
Fatz

All the shows except the Brain worked when I was at Jungle Jim's this summer. I saw King, The Warblettes, Pedro (they work off the same computer and alternate which one is doing a show), Robin Hood, The General Mills Cereal band and the Brain who was shut off. I went to Marvin's Marvelous Mechanical Museum that same week and his Brain was working. Some of the King's movements were not working and the back of the head was coming off but other than that it was a decent show.

I have a few questions about this. 1) Was Pedro the Chuck E mech retrofitted or the Pasqually with the same cosmetics, just modified? 2) How come the Cereal Bowl Band, Robin Hood, and the Brain were not working? 3) Has anyone seen them working, what do they do? 4) Was the King animatronic with the back of his head splitting off at Marvin's or at Jungle Jim's? Would love to see those pictures, where might they be posted? Thanks..Clarke

It was a CEC frame with modified Pasqually cosmetics.

2) How come the Cereal Bowl Band, Robin Hood, and the Brain were not working?

I don't know but they worked when I was there except for the Brain.

3) Has anyone seen them working, what do they do?

Marvin had a Brain at his place. Jungle Jim's was down that day. You put a quarter in, the character tells you to ask a question and then he looks at his computer and sort of cackles and gives you some smart ass answer. It lasts about 30 seconds. The animation of the character and lights are cool. Cereal bowl band is just Trix Rabbit, Lucky and the Bee from Honey Nut Cheerios. All they do is play oldies. The animation isn't that great and they move slowly. The songs are all original artists and its the exact same set of songs the Warblettes sing in Pet Land. Robin Hood is a realistic robot and he talks to Little John and Friar Tuck who are "off stage" and just sort goes through various dialogue from the Robin Hood story. Not terribly interesting...

4) Was the King animatronic with the back of his head splitting off at Marvin's or at Jungle Jim's? Would love to see those pictures, where might they be posted? Thanks..Clarke

Marvin doesn't have King. He only has a balcony show. The head thing isn't a big deal. The CEC characters are made like that and the backs of the heads are just velcroed on. All that happened there is the back of the head was somewhat loose because the velcro fastners were not properly secured. No photography is allowed at Jungle Jim's but he does have a website. Find it elsewhere in this thread (scroll up to earlier posts).
