Who here likes Country Music?

Just curious...

I like quite a bit of it....but moreso the upbeat catchy tunes that you can dance to.

I'm not a big fan of the slow, melodramatic ballards or love songs.

Name your faves!

I don't like the new young country that tries to be rock music. I do like more old school stuff like Jonny Cash, Willie Nelson and Merle Haggard. Carrie Underwood is hot, I am not into her music though.

Yeah it's interesting you mention that Captain....how the "new" Country sounds more like rock then "Country".

Let me put it this way. I enjoyed the country shows that the Harmony and the Rock-afire did. Country 3 for the RAE was a somewhat weaker show from #1 and 2 but they were all good. I don't care as much for the country show they did with Helen Henny.

Let's face it, only Harmony could sing country. She did a great job too but Helen back in the day was hopeless!!

Some of the newer songs she has done in later years were good covers.

Well since I've never heard Helen back in those days sing country. I wouldn't really know. But I do know that she sung some great country songs in her now current days.:D

Yeah the Country Helen's a pretty good reel...;) Although you'd think from the name it would like featre her mostly but it's all the Players singing country.
