Hey! Just wondering, who's all been to Marvin's? Do the robots still work or was that just when Travis went? What are all of the CEC robots he has? Any more info would be nice! :D

The birds are Black, not brown.

Technically they're a dark brown with a little bit of white. I've seen pics of them upclose in the daylight. It's also on a thread somewhere around here.

Wrong, pizzacam! CaptSlappy now owns the Chuck and Harmony robots acquired from Marvin's Marvelous Mechanical Museum.

WRONG,

I have CEC, and the BLACK Warbeletts.

LOL

This is better than watching the Miami Dolphins try to set-up plays for the defense.

Whoa, Snap's selling his KING? Man, I'd love to go for it, but I have no room, maybe he'll sell it piece by piece?

Menutia-- You have a half bodied CEC and Warblettes? Are they the ones from Marvin's? How much do people pay for this stuff?

menutia
08-22-2005, 05:14 PM
Yes, and no, and WAY TOO MUCH!!! Most often people trade things after a while. Some people get tired of the items, and want to get something different. Trading is the best way to go about getting CEC stuff. But, infact, $$$ talks.

So with the loss of the Chuck E. and Harmony robots at Marvin's, the other characters are still there, right?

Yes, the 2 versions of the Warblettes plus Jasper, Helen, Madame Oink, Pasqually, Mr. Munch, and the animal hand clapper board are still located on display at Marvin's Marvelous Mechanichal Museum.

I am the owner of Harmony Howlett from Marvin's. I sold the CEC mech to Menutia to buy a Mr. Munch robot about a year ago from someone else. No I am not interested in selling them. I have been up to Marvin's place. Highly recommended. Marvin is a trip. The remaining bots are still at Marvins (Warblettes, clappers, Jasper, Pasqually, Munch, Oink and Helen) They do not work and have not worked in 4 or 5 years. He is not willing to part with any of the remaining characters. Don't waste his time or yours asking.

Yeah Marvin is something else... I'd love to share stories but it's one of those things where you'd just have to meet him in person to understand. Definetely one of the most interesting people I've met.

As far as the going rate on the animatronics... Menutia's right. It's way too much. :) Unless you have a couple thousand that you're ready to spend I woudn't even worry about it. And then it'll cost you even more than that to try to get them running unless you get lucky and can catch a break somewhere. They're awesome to own because of their appearance and size, but they do take up alot of room.

Anywho the price is coming down on them. Slowly, but I can see it here and there. And it should be that way. Not to dog on the characters or try to belittle their coolness, but they're not all that scarce. Not compared to some of the other collectables anyway.

I haven't talked to Marvin in a while. I was going to follow up about getting his show running and he never called me back. I gave up. That was a couple of years ago. As far as I know the show never did get running again. I have since restored Harmony and have a fully working balcony stage in my garage. The only things I do not have are the band board, pots and pans and flags which I do not have room for. Snapper sold his King quite awhile ago.

I am heading out to Farmington Hills, MI next weekend to attend a music-related convention. I just learned recently that this is where this fabulous museum is!

I would love to see it.....but i seriously doubt with the tight Con schedule ( and lack of transportation) i will be able to check it out.

IF for some reason i AM able to go...anyone here know the exact address? Who knows....i could be staying at the hotel next door and not even know it!
