Does anyone remember the game "Can-Alley" that was seen at CEC since the mid/late 80s and 90s? All of our stores here in WI (at least by me) have trashed it.:(
For those of you who don't know, Can-Alley was like this:
You put in a token, and about 10 or so balls come out and out of 2 garbage cans, big Alley Cats come out and you hit them, and I believe you were timed? IDK, it's been awhile, but this has to be one of my most favorite CEC games of all time. Anyone have stories of this game?
Man, I miss this game.:(

i remember that game!!!!!! ...i think its the one you mean...?
there were 2 trash cans. each one had a cat it in. the can lid would open and the cat would pop its head out. you had to get as many balls as you could in the can before it closed. it would randomly open and close every couple seconds. the balls would keep cycling back out. you had like 30 seconds or so to get as many balls in the can as you could. i think thats how it went? ...im trying to go off like 10 years ago memory. lol

The cats in the Can-Alley game resemble Sylvester the Cat from Warner Bros. Looney Tunes cartoons.

Either that, or they remind me of "Albert the Alley Cat" who did the news in Milwaukee in the 60s.
The second pic you posted, YoungCalihottie is the one I remember. Does anyone here know of a CEC that still has it?

Can Alley is still in operation at all Celebration Stations around the country...mainly on the east coast and in the mid west. It is an old game that to be honest is a pain in the butt to fix and repair and isnt worth the money or time. But for some reason kids just love throwing balls at cats that pop out of garbage cans...go figure...

I got good news and bad news...
Good News: Walzem still has CAN-ALLEY!!!
Bad News: They replaced the cool cats with CEC stuffed animals >:
BTW, vbjeep99, could you get me pics and/or footage of Can-Alley? Which version is it, 2 can version, 4 can version, or a straight line?

Any Can-Alley photos from the Walzem CEC location showing the Chuck E. plush mouse heads rather than the Sylvester the Cat plushes?

I found out that info from Pizzacam, not sure if he has pics...
I doubt they'll bring it with them to the newer location.
Celebration Station...to make it simple, another CEC knockoff which uses Daniel and the Dixie Diggers who ALWAYS appear on eBay. I believe they also used a pig?
I'm still looking to see pics of the garbage cans open with the two cat characters who resemble Sylvester and Albert the Ally Cat.

There is a Daniel and the Dixie Diggers up on ebay. Do a search for "animatronic" and they will come up. They've been listed about 6 times now.

No, it's been a LOT more than 6. They've been listed for about a year or so now. I'm waiting for someone to finally bid.
BTW, do you think Jenn could perhaps shed more light on Can-Alley?

Well, I wanted to bump this thread up because mainly I'd like to get a new Can-Alley discussion started. So, any new members--do you remember Can-Alley at your local CEC in the '90s?

How about if CEC locations do a new Can-Alley game called "Chuck E.'s Cans" or if for old school CECPTT fans, "Crusty's Can Alley with Crusty Cat"?

I had can alley in my first store. They didn't scrap it until 2003. It was a solid game and made lots of money for that store.

I have never seen the Can Alley arcade game at Dave and Buster's nor Gameworks. Wonder if it is at Aladdin's Castle/Time Out? Or even local family entertainment centers like Enchanted Castle and Oddysey Fun World? Don't forget the arcades at Brunswick Zone XL may have Can Alley if possible.

I remember that, I think you also got more tickets if you hit the cats in certain areas too. That was always a good ticket getter when you got this ) ( to getting something you wanted in the general store...
