Both are kick ass because both feature PTT characters long retired before they were released, especially Indiana Jowls. Just saying in case you didn't know. ;)

Yes those are the last ever uses of the retired characters. A few other notes... Crusty, Foxy, Sally, the Mopsy Sisters, The Bowzers and BB Bubbles were never used on any of the posters. I think that is true on BB. I know the older characters prior to Harmony weren't used anyway. Dolli appeared in the lettering of one of them. I think it's Wizard of Cheese but doesn't get a promonent spot on any others. The Beagles were in Temple of Pizza interestingly but Ringo didn't get in. It was just John, Paul and George. Dolli was such a huge character early on I was really surprised she didn't get used more. Today PTT doesn't even recognize the retired characters as trademarks.

Also did you know that "Gone With the Wing" features Jasper riding a horse? I noticed that when I wanted to take an up-close pic at the "new" Brookfield, WI (Studio C Alpha) store last time I went.

Here's a few: http://www.showbizpizza.com/photos/cec/ca_bell/index.html

For some reason I can't find a good one of the Wizard of Cheese poster, why is that, don't some stores still have it?

I remember how my old store had them posted on the walls where the rides "room" was beside the showroom. I'm glad they still have the Phase 3 TV/movie parodys at my current show.

I also like "Close Encounters of The Bird Kind" and "Batmunch" but I voted for "Crocodile Chuckee"

I'm applying this is only applying to the movie ones, because there were also the Album ones that were pretty funny.

As a rabid Tim Burton fan, my young self was completely enthralled with the Beaglejuice and Batmunch posters.
I was{shockingly} unfamiliar with the Crocodile Dundee, Indiana Jones, and Back to the Future film series' at the time{I didn't see/become a fan of them until earlier this decade}, but they have since become some of my favorite films....so their parodies get honorable mentions.
There really isn't a "poor" design among them, really.
Their use of satire helped me to become a fan of "Weird Al" Yankovic, and that's got to count for something!

I know Happy Jenn is a stickler for facts...but aren't these PTT parody posters evidence that CEC corporate even in 1989/1990/1991 still considered the PTT characters part of the roster? I remember these posters featuring King, Howlette, Warblettes, etc up on our CEC walls til the late 1990's.

You know what's sad? I still to this day have not seen Crocodile Dundee nor Beetlejuice. Sad? I know...and Im a Burton fan. I do remember being in love with both Back to the Futures when they came out(85 and 89 I think?) but I hated the third one.

Not necessarily. Many franchise stores incorporated PTT's characters even after Concept Unification began{evidence for this includes the fact that until discovering them during the mid-90s at some of Upstate NY's CEC's, I didn't even know the King and The Beach Bowzers existed. The Beagles stuck around at the former CEC an hour away from here until the end of the decade. All this occurred ten years after the characters were originally created}.

Don't worry, you're not alone in being a fan of something that you haven't fully seen yet.
I still haven't seen the 3rd Dundee film Crocodile Dundee in Los Angeles{I do have The Adventures of Bayou Billy for NES, which is essentially a take-off on the series. Does that count?}
I have watched/own most of Tim Burton's movies{except that I haven't yet seen from start to finish/don't own his Planet of the Apes film , and I haven't yet watched either Sweeney Todd[although I have seen the play] or Sleepy Hollow[regardless of the fact that I own them both]}.
Despite being a "slasher film" enthusiast, I haven't seen about half of each of the iconic franchises{in Halloween's case, I've only watched the original}.

I wish Universal would release Back to the Future:The Animated Series. Then the BTTF "circle" will be complete{and I can get a show on DVD with Bill Nye in it that I can actually afford;)}.

Yeah it was odd seeing The King in some California CEC's all the way til the latter 1990's. I think CEC corporate finally layed down the law and made all franchises completely phase out the old stuff. However, from what people said on here it appears the last "80's old school" Chuck E Cheese ended in March of last year in Southern California: http://www.showbizpizza.com/photos/cec/ca_simivalley/index.html

I always wondered when the last Balcony/80's styled CEC existed.

I always wished they had came out with pvcs of all the characters,
like The King, Dollie, Warblettes, etc...Im just happy they finally came out with Helen and Pasqually in 1994...still, CEC in the last decade has royally dropped the ball on character merch. It's also disheartening knowing we'll never see any new characters introduced...whereas they were coming out with new PTT characters all the time.

As far as 80's movies, off the top of my head, my fave are:
Muppets Take Manhattan, Return of the Jedi, Goonies, Never Ending Story, The Wizard, Blade Runner, Tron, Aliens, Short Circuit 2, Star Chasers, Pee Wee's Big Adventure, and a bunch more...though yeah, I so need to see Beetlejuice finally.

And hmmm, I keep hearing they're making a Ghostbusters 3 for reals this time.

Yeah, I had a Munch PVC at one point{the one with him standing upright and holding a pizza pie over his stomach}. However, I've always been more of a plush kinda guy. I used to have a small Chuck E.{bought at CEC} along with large versions of Munch, Chuck E., and Jasper{all 4 were PTT-era, and the large ones were found at some local thrift stores/rummage sales around the time of Concept Unification}.

Yeah, really. How many variations on Chuck do we really need?

That's a pretty solid list. Let's see{takes deep breath}...I love anything involving the Muppets{TV show or movie}, I'm a huge Star Wars fan{all 6 episodes:-O},love The Goonies{and everything else Richard Donner has done}, The Wizard is the greatest movie ever{"I love the Power Glove, it's so bad!}, Philip K. Dick can do no wrong, same goes for the Aliens series{Predator crossovers included}, Johnny 5 played a major part in my budding robots/animatronics interest as a child, and Paul Reubens is an underrated genius. Finally... yes, you should see Beetlejuice whenever you have the opportunity to do so{exhales}.

And hmmm, I keep hearing they're making a Ghostbusters 3 for reals this time.
Supposedly, yes. Ivan Reitman is reportedly looking to shoot it in late 2010 for a 2011 release.
Tron is also getting a sequel{almost exactly a year from now, 12/17/10} called Tron Legacy, and Pee-wee's back with a second stage show{his first being in 1980, as a precursor to Pee-wee's Playhouse} that'll run in L.A. from January to February.

Indiana Jowels and the Temple of Pizza because it promanently features Harmony. I am a little disappointed that Dolli never got a more prominent feature in one. Back in the day she was a very important character. Yes, she does appear but she's not very big. Artie got to be a lot more prominent in the Wizard of Cheese and he was no where near the deal that Dolli was.
