PTT--LADY LIBERTY QUESTION/BILLY BOB SUIT AT PTT

For everyone who lived in a city that had PTT store in the 80s...I have two questions:

1. Did you have a Billy Bob walk around in your store that was used so you would not see Chuck E on the floor while on stage? And was there Billy Bob merch. in the
merch cabinet?

2. I remember 1985 when they first had the "Salute to Lady Liberty" show playing...they ran TV commercials about it. Did PTT have a similar show and TV commercials but not a Liberty on stage? If not I wonder how this was handled for markets that had both concepts going like (San Antonio, Beaumont-Pt Arthur (CEC in Beaumont an SBZ in Pt Arthur, Dallas-Ft Worth)

I know they had Billy Bob walkarounds at the Chuck E. Cheese's here. I remember first seeing Billy Bob at the Walzem store dancing WITH the Chuck E. Cheese walkaround in front of the King. They also had Chuck E. Cheese walkarounds at Showbiz. :b

CECPTT never had their own Liberty Show in the 1980's that was like ShowBiz's.

They did do a showtape called "Salute To America" but it's from June of '85. The original SPP Liberty show was in '86 so... ;)

It was only in the mid-80's after the merger happened that you started to see BB's at Chuck E.s place and vice versa. By then PTT as it was know did not really exsist per sey....except in a few stores that were still franchises at that point.

When PTT was ptt you never has Billy Bob anything...it was "forbidden" and totally taboo as he was the "enemy" and represented the competition. Remember, PTT Inc. and Showbiz Pizza were two totally different organiztions back in the day. That all went to heck in 1985....so this is when you start to see BB appearing at Chuck's place.

I even remember the 1985 PTT/SPP "Twice the fun with Billy Bob and Chuck E. Cheese" TV commercial with the walkaround Billy Bob and the walkaround Chuck E. Cheese together.

there were both here. but i dont remember ptt. my earliest memories are c stage. i always went to spp. i liked it better when i was younger. i think i still would today
