What kind of guest would you have designed or would have liked to have seen had PTT continued the guest concept indefinately and Helen had not stayed? Keep in mind Warblettes aside the guest was the only girl so I'd say concepts should all be female to stay with that tradition.

Here are a few ideas of mine:

1) Cow inspired by the "pasturized Dolli" that was converted to a cow. A Dolli mask frame could have been used easily.

2)A parrot inspired by the Mystery Fun House character although I would have done green and not red for the fur. I would have used the same design on the feathers and details.

3)A pink female Munch. I know this was done as a character in one of the MMBB videos in the 90s at some point, but how cool would it have been to have a pink Mrs. Munch joining the others on stage as a guest?

Yes! I like the idea of a female Munch he even talked about his Munch monster girlfriend in a few showtapes from the late 80's! In the 90 video of "all my buds and friends are comin' over tonight" his girlfirend dances with him and she has purple fur but pink hair and toenails intead of yellow like Munch. :lol

Mrs. Munch REALLY should have been considered!!!!!! That'd rock the boat!!!

I think having 2 purple monsters would be too similair. What I'd do is make her body fur pink and give her a purple tummy with purple hair. In other words, where Munch is purple would be pink on the female munch and where he's yellow would be purple.

How about a female rat/mouse who would be Chuck E. Cheese's sister as my own guest idea?

Perhaps but that might be too much like Mitzi. It's a good thought though. The only female counter part of one of the guys I could really see working would be a female Munch if she was a different color. I don't think a female human guest would work well either because of Pasqually.

A frog would have been neat too like from the Mystery Fun House band show. The frog and the parrot were the only 2 I liked from that show. An owl might have been neat also.

For a female human guest, it would have been a female Pasqually (not unlike Betty from the CEC "Baking With Betty" CEC show intermissions).

I have to disagree with that too. You don't want two of the same thing. I don't think 2 people characters in any capacity would have worked, especially a female baker. I may be wrong on that. Maybe it would have gone great but visually I don't think 2 mice or 2 people would work. I think the female Munch thing would work if the female munch was a different color from Mr. Munch. Dog wise it might work if the guest star was very different from Jasper like say a poodle. I only see them doing another dog guest star if they had gone through a large number of guests already and didn't want to recycle. Basically every guest was a one shot deal. If they were to use a second person guest, I think they would definately need to do someone of a different ethnicity.

Sort of shifting gears slightly, I always wondered if PTT had ever thought about having a Santa as the guest star and replacing Helen. I think they might have done that at some point had they not merged with Showbiz. Especially since Showbiz had Santa at some stores in 1983. It may have been too much trouble though for the short time a Santa robot would have been used given they'd have to repaint the eyelids and all for a month and paint them back. Althought Helen had blue so it might have worked. Who knows?

Here's some suggestions:

Re-develope the old PTT Guest Wolfman Zach and re-introduce him as a modern day Guest. A current look for him come be a skater-boy type. This would appear to the boys and older kids.

Why not re-introduce a cat character? This time do a female kitty Guest....

How about something eye grabbing like a parrot, dinosaur/lizard or what every little kid loves: a frog?

A monkey character would be interesting, but then again it would ring too similar to Fatz really. Ditto on the Wolf characters idea ( too similar to Rolfe)

I would do a seal character with a FUNNY little hat, Captain. :)

A cat is obvious! I can't believe that one didn't cross my mind. I like the idea of a female cat guest charcter that is not related to Crusty.

a blue octopus on the drums instead of pasqually. having a human doesnt really fit with the whole theme. the ocotpus could have a bunch of drumsticks so it could "hit" many drums at once...

I'm sure even if they had stayed PTT they would have gone with more of an MMBB format to make it more Rock afire like. Your idea is good but it probably would not be effective. There were only really 2 kinds of mechs. The half bodies and the "rocker' characters, ie- mops, birds, Beagles, Bowzers and Little Shavers. To do an octopus they would have had to have made a special mech to accomodate the arms. Also, the cyberamic robots can only have 8 movements. They do have accessory terminals and they could have gotten away with this by having one cylinoid run multiple arms or wiring a second valve manifold and slaving it off of the first like how the birds are connected to CEC or clapper board connected off the drums. The real limitation however is the physical modifications for the extra arms. We have heard stories Munch was supposed to have 6 arms originally and I'm sure that he was reduced to 2 for the above reasons.

Wha..?? Munch was originally supposed to have 6 arms? I have'nt heard about this!

Wow...he really was a "Grimace" rip off then...as die hards know Grimace originally had multiple arms too!

I suppose in Munch case he would actually enjoy having 6 arms...all the more to stuff pizza in his maw....ha ha!!

Sorry :( This is just for fun anyway. I think it was a great idea. I was just more commenting on the way PTT did things and how interchangable it all was. You could for example take a Dolli robot and connect the cyber arms to her frames, remove her eyelashes and decorations from the lid, glue the yellow eyelashes on and make it Mr. Munch. A Pasqually robot could be made into a King by mounting it to the leg assembly, removing the arms and mustache lever and changing the eyes to blue and putting King cosmetics. For this reason the octopus thing probably wouldn't have worked out. But that being said I think a drumming octopus would make a really cool robot! It would have to be done from the ground up but I think you have a great idea!

Personally i would love to just see the return of the King or King Kat, in cabaret acts.

That would really be nice to have the choice again of where you eat. I almost always ate near the King, since it was quieter there than in the main showroom.

How cool would it be to see some of the old Caberet or Lounge acts resurrected as a Guest?

Just think: A modern-day Dolli or Madame Oink!

Yeah i know...it'll never happen but it would be two Guests that could be added to the list.

The modern day Dolli could be a little slimmer than her 1978-1980's version.

Dolli would be neat and could be modified to slim her down. Her personality would have to at least be softened. She was a bit risque especially by today's standards. I wish Dolli had been moved to Helen's spot on the stage when she was retired as a caberet. She was the main female character until they phased her out. A former employee that knows a lot about PTT told me they got rid of a lot of the caberets under the new management because they wanted the focus to be on CEC and the King. That's really what sealed Dolli, Artie and BB's doom. Once Nolan's people were no longer in charge and PTT was assimilated into the Showbiz empire they didn't really know the characters like the original people did. I guess they just didn't like Dolli or appreciate her history. I'm sure they also saw new guests as an unnecassary expeince. "Go with the Chicken, she works and she's a nice diversity." I"m sure that was their thinking. I think the reason the Warblettes got phased out is they just didn't fit in with the house set up and from the sounds of it, many of them didnt work anymore anyway. I'm sure they also felt that with Helen more birds were redundant. The singing flowers were smaller and fit in with the new stage better. Looking at Harmony now, she is almost a female CEC. While she is darker grey, the color contrast isnt obvious from far away, particularly in a dimly lit room. No one really knows what she's supposed to be. People ask me if she's a female mouse. Others have thought she was a bear. Until you watch the show tape, no one is clear on the fact she's a coyote. So in hindsight, I can see why as much as we love Harmony she was one of the worst choices as a guest. I think the next best choice from a diversity perspective was Madame Oink.
