What were you totally into and borderline "obsessed" with as a kid?

For me, i was nutty over tape recorders and animated cartoons.

Birds too.....and building very strange things out of cardboard.

I was also obsessed with picking all the marshmellows out of "Boo Berry" cereal and eating just those and tossing the dry cereal!

Yeah, i was a nut!

I still have some of my original Lions from japan.....they were the coolest toys EVER to me when those babies came out.

I'm not a huge fan of Japanimation/Manga ( though i love old school Pokemon) but Voltron was just too darn cool to ignore.

Well, lets see...I wasn't obsessed with them, but I did have a herd of My Little Ponys...also, I was always into dogs....I also went through different phases as to what my fave Disney movie was...when I was like, seven it was "The Lady and the Tramp," and then it was "Oliver and Company." I had a bunch of stuff related to that movie-I even had the sleeping bag, ha ha.

CLowns, magic, mechanical window displays, manniquins, and making haunted house walk thrus in my grandparents basement.
*I know... Im weird!
I did grow up to become a clown, I did work in window display at Lord & Taylors in Boston, and I owned and operated a tourist attraction haunted house in NH for several years, now I work at one and am in the process of becoming a partner in the business!

Two things I remember being obsessed with as a child: building with legos and playing around on drum kits.

Let's see...I was obessed with Disney movies. I still am. Hahaha. I would ALWAYS search the house for blank paper to color on... I never liked coloring books. :] I'd sit in front of the TV and watch the Disney channel (back when it used to be GOOD) and draw the characters I liked. I'm such a Disney baby- I've always adored their movies. My top three being The Lion King, The Little Mermaid, and Aladdin. ;]

I was also pretty sure that I was the Pink Ranger. :o

I was obsessed with Littlest Pet shop and Carebears as a kid. Mum got rid of all my petshop and sold my orginal carebear in a yardsale for a quarter. :(

anyways, I was also obsessed with baking and music which I am still am now. I am known for my cookies and homemade cupcakes. I play 3 instrements well and 2 more not so well. I also sing and did a bit of dance and theatre which I wish I was still a part of now that I am out of highschool, but I get the my kicks working at Chuck E Cheese!

I've always been obsessed with mascots, stuffed animals(still am), Neopets(still into that)Power Rangers(grew out of that) I'm embarassed to say this but I had a strong obession to Barney(i cant stand that dinosaur now haha) Scooby Doo(still love that dog), and I've always had a big obsession with Chuck E. Cheese. I have so much of the merchandise I dont know where to put it all, I even have my own person walkaround Chuck E. costume complete with 3 suits, I'm looking to add more soon!

Yeah never could get a grip on reality...still cant...LOL. When Showbiz opened and I got some records I use to panamine all the time...my bedroom was a thrown together stage...I got some pics somewhere I will have to post..there hilarious. And when E.T. came out...I had to get this large E.T. doll and pretend I had a real alien and went to school and had to tell everyone about it. Then Gremlins came out and I pretended I had a mogwai that I carried around in a box. Even convinced my cousin I really had one...even with it being right in his face. His mom called mine asking if I had a real Mogwai because her son wouldnt stop crying thinking I was gonna slip and feed it after midnight. Then of course Back to the Future ..I remember wearing my jean jacket with my orange vest over it and of course a t-shirt under another shirt with suspenders to School and this was like in the summer when it was hot..but I had just seen the movie and had to pretend I was like Marty Mcfly. And then License to Drive...lol..I had my Corey Haim Smile down and tried to dress and act like Les Anderson...lol. And then after that..my friend and I dressed like Bill and Ted and of course he had to be Bill and I got stuck wearing a white t-shirt with a black vest over it and sweat pants rolled up to my knees with Black converse. (Yes I got my ass kicked for wearing that get up to school once...LOL) Anyway...I am a freak...lol. I should have just been an actor and got it over with early...lol.

I sure was & I still have the iron-on patches that I got from getting high scores on Pitfall, Spider Fighters, Enduro & Freeway :D

I was & still am all about video games (lucky enough to have a working Joust machine here in da house!)
I really miss the old arcades that were dark & loud as could be full of awesome fun games (not DDR) & pinball machines.

Star Wars (original trilogy only) & Indiana Jones
Loved Care Bears & Holly Hobbie back in the day too.

I always ran home from school so I could watch Thundercats.
Voltron was nifty too but I think a lot of us old timers also watched Battle for the Planets too.
and last but not least ... who can ever forget Davey & Goliath !!!

I was obsessed with those weaved bracelets that said WWJD and came in all sorts of colors. I also had some with other religous sayings on them. I was also obsessed with looping speghetti-o's on my fork before eatting them and grouping my cheeri-o's in groups of three on my spoon before eating them... if there were an odd amount, they wouldnt be eatten. (i'm a little ocd!)

I really like Hulk Hogan's meat shoes. They were these cool shoes with a tray in sole that you could pull out and put some beef into. When you walked around, it cured it and made it into beef jerky. No one else seems to remember this.
