I just got back from the louisville colorado CEC with the full body (no desk) studio-c and they now have the no curtain, random chip set up and going.basically they have it to were the curtain is there but it's left open and after the show during the break chuck will stop for a couple seconds (like he used to)then he starts moving I want to say he moves "randomly" but there seems to be a pattern that repeats itself after about 3 minutes, first he looks at the screens (I guess to watch whats going on) then he looks forward then back to the screens then turns forward again then looks all the way to his left (our right) then starts the process all over again, his arm moves up and down a little bit here and there but not much,no major arm waving or anything like that..the person I talked to said that MMBB will be getting this random chip soon but she didn't know if it will JUST be chucks stage and not the other characters getting the treatment...

YUP! That hit the nail on the head! I had to put in our "random" movement in our show today, in order to have the Sept. show run correctly. And it does have a pattern....anywho, like I said in the "R.I.P. Curtains" thread, I wonder what there going to do during the Holiday 04' show, since there is curtain diversity in the show and it will be playing this year....8)

I don't think it'll be a problem. The curtains will remain open from when the Sept show is taken out - and it will basically "ignore" the programmed curtain cues in the Holiday show.

One more thing I wanted to add was the manager told me that the reason they are getting rid of the curtains is that there was a "rumor" that some kid had gotten stuck behind the curtains (she didn't say which store) and that the event made the company decide to keep the curtains open, are we talking lawsuit? if so I wonder what happened? maby a kid went on stage right before closing and was left behind the curtain all night long,or maby a kid was hurt behind the curtain or got trapped in the curtains as they were opening,I don't know, all I know is this event caused the company to keep the curtains open.....

The Irving store near headquarters in Irving Tx has had random movements for years. Half the times the curtains have not worked at this store and all 5 characters stop for a second when they go to intermission and then start looking around. There is a pattern to it to. This particular stage is the one stage version (cyberamic former half bodies). It's a small stage but the set up looks good.

Yeah, this was the one stage that used to have Chuck's turn-about thing, and the "new" MMBB outfits the leather pants for Jasper, Helen's rollerblades and munch's tie etc... :eek

The rumor I am starting is that a child could be taken advantage of behind the curtain. If the intermission time is known to be more than 5 mins, some real nut case could take advantage of that time and do domething bad.

While I'm thinking of it... Anyone who "happens" to get an old MMBB eprom chip after the changeout, who wants to sell it, drop me a line. I am desperate for the MMBB eprom chip set.

I have not heard that...it was a cost cutting move, nothing more.
