~Howdy y'all, I really don't know if you care about this or not, but a couple of weeks ago, my GM and I were walking up to the doors (getting ready to open at like 7am) and on our doors was a letter from our Mesa store(3215?). The letter says, we shall vs. you in a basketball game on Tuesday 9/13 and be prepared to LOOSE!:lol So this tuesday, half of my store is vs. the Mesa store....in basketball! Interesting??!?!
My stores name is the Super Chucks:x :x :x and Mesa's team name is "Mesa":rolleyes . So I'll keep you updated on if we win or not, wish me luck, :lol !
**Also, does anyone else out there know if any stores, like this, teamed up to do something, like sports, getting together for a boys and girls clubs, or YMCA visits?????

Man, I don't know who to root for!
On one hand, I was an opening day cast member at the Scottsdale store...so I should root for my home team. Plus we were one of the few stores that had Chuck E's Star Search, and the store itself was once a Discovery Zone.
But on the other hand...the Mesa store was once a Showbiz Pizza Place, and it was only one of two stores in Arizona to ever have a Showbiz. So it had a Rock-afire, then a 3 Stage MMBB, and now a Studio C Alpha.
Decisions, decisions...
Well...gotta go with the home team - GO JEFF!!!

:lol What a weird situation! If someone challenged our store, we would have to call the other store and ask if they were serious... never heard of something like that. Hope you guys win! :D

Yeah, that kind of thing was big for CEC's in the late 80's but I can't say I've heard of it happening anymore. Glad to know you guys are doing something together with another store. Everyone at the stores here would've laughed at something like that. :( We did constanly fight over who's stage was in better shape...ours was always the one that scored 90% or above! Thanks to my constant nagging and wanting to fix every little detail! :lol :lol

:\ HAHAHAHAHAHHAHAA:lol !!! WE GOT KILLED!!!!!!:lol :lol :lol
We playied to 21 by 1's, and 2's. We lost 21 to 6! :rolleyes
And guess who scored the 6,:D , thank you very much!8) :hat
I wasn't really fair though, I mean, we had to drive all the way to Mesa so they would have Homecourt advantage....and
there team was made of three like 6'5" dudes, and two professional B-ball players!>:
Oh well, it was just for fun and kicks! I heard they are going to challenge the East Mesa store, so its going to be a new thing for the AZ distract. I think were going to challenge West Mesa to soccer or bowling next time!:lol :lol HAHAHAH, and NO ONE (besides pros) can beat me in bowling!!!!!
Well anyways, after the game, we took a ride done to the West Mesa store, so we could all say Hi to one of our old managers that worked at my store that got transferred. AND MAN O MAN, West Mesa's stage was in the WROST CONDITION EVER!!!!!!! Dang, it made me want to go over and start ripping out my tools.......;) :lol , Actually it wasnt that bad.....:rollin , just the lighting went randomly on during the intermissions....like chuck e. floods red and blue would go on and then off, then Chuck's spot would go on and then off, the Birds spot on and off, then the strobe light....>: And during the show segments, the strobe light and the Gemini (Double sided disco ball) would go on radomly and the ROBOSCANS WEREN'T WORKING!!!>: >: >: >: >: >: >:
Anyways, I felt bad for that store.....all I have to say is that at least it wasn't my store:rolleyes :D !

we used to play turkey bowl every thanksgiving morning, bridgeville vs. monroeville. monroeville would always destroy us and every year we had a severe injury. on kid broke and ankle, next year our main kitchen guy broke his wrist and the year after that, this one kid got half of his ear ripped off. it was really gross. but then i got promoted and i agreed when they told me it wasnt the best idea for a manager to be involved in that. you know, since now i was responsible and such.
but this summer we did play softball, far less chance for permanent injuries. that was awesome. we just kind of did a little tourney with all of our stores. it was fun

EWW!!!!:x :x :x
Anyways, its cool that other stores are getting out there and teaming up together for a fun (friendly in my case) games and sports.
Yeah, since the West Mesa store is going to dominate all the other stores here in AZ, in Basketball, I think were going to now change over to softball, thats the last I heard....:)
