Okay, saw a 2 stage CEC show at one of the local CEC stores that was built after the death of the PTT's in my area, but was not a Showbiz location.

So, where did the show come from? Were 2 stage shows installed in new locations after concept unification but before the Studio C stage?

Was this show transfered from another store that closed, built new/from spare parts, or what? One of the experts must know this answer.

it's possible. The 2-stage show from the former Stockton,CA Franchise was transferred to the Modesto store. Any store built between '92 & '97 could have gotten a 2 srage

Menutia darling...

The answer is simple dear....

Just about all CEC's built after PTT went under still recieved Cyber shows. At that time, they were still balcony versions, later locations were sent the Porch stage. It depends on the location really....whatever year it opened determined what show the opened with. Same holds true today. All "new" stores get the latest version of the show...in this case "Cappa". When the stage was updated to the 1/2 Stage layouts in the early 90's, all exsisting locations ( sans franchises in some cases) recieved the MMBB setups. This is more then likely how that store ended up with that show.

You can always tell what stores opened after PTT folded....the Cyber figures don't work as nicely as the original frames/computers do. You can spot it easily if you have a trained eye. You get a trained eye by being totally obsessed with these things for , like, forever.....it's sad i know.

I need a life...i seriously do! :lol

So there are MMBB shows that were built from scratch, post PTT?

Okay, that makes a lot of sense to me as to why some things look... err goofy.

Thanks!

Well that might be because there were'nt really a lot of locations built out there in the 90's? I don't know...i'm not from around there...but if all your local store opened in the late 90's or 00's then they would all have the Studio C shows.

Oh , and you guys are right...my goof! All "new" locations built these days have the Beta version. Cappa is just for the "smalltowns"..but at this rate i think soon ALL CEC's that are built new will turn out to just be smallies!!

Argh!!

Almost ALL CEC'S here were either somewhat early PTTs (1980-1983), or SPP. Brookfield was formerly in the Elmbrook Plaza on the other side of town, and they moved to house the second Studio C Alpha, and still have the parody posters from the previous location still hanging up.
