My name is Ian, I'm 30 and from the suburbs of Chicago, IL. I grew up in Davenport, IA and have really fond memories of the Showbiz Pizza there, but aside from a "Oh yeah, I remember that place" here and there, I always felt like I was the only one I knew who really loved and was excited about Billy Bob, The RAE and Showbiz. I could never really get into the Chuck E Cheese concept the same way. I loved the characters and the atmosphere from back in the day. I even had my 21st birthday party at CEC just to sort of do the anti-21st birthday booze and mayhem thing.. and while fun, it just wasn't the same. Billy Bob was always my favorite, followed of course by Fatz.
Cut to the documentary showing up on Netflix, and I just about shot through the roof! I've seen it a bunch of times now, have read just about all the History articles and such on the site, have been lurking the forums here for months, bought the new single Aaron Fechter put out recently, spend way too much time screwing around with RAE stuff on Youtube, and am in general just excited and maybe a little obsessed with this great thing from my childhood that's back!
I'm a stay at home dad of a little 4 month old girl, and I look forward to getting to share the RAE with her one day. If I had the means, you'd better believe I'd be working on getting a show ;) For now, I'll settle for tracking down shows I can get to.
