My CEC is NOT following Standard procedure

for the longest time now during weekend parties they only do a Birthay show. I finally asked why & they said "Roadshows are the new LIVE show" WTF??? Roadshows were designed for Gameroom entertainment, they were NEVER meant to REPLACE the use of a LIVE for parties. YES it's inconvinient to have Chuck do a yes it weould be inconvienient to do Live,B-day,Roaadshow (currently it's just b-day,Roadshow) but the guests who paid for the party still deserve to see *their* LIVE show.

thats very wrong if we did that at our store i would be mad but we dont do the road show at our store so yeah but thats wrong and not fair to the families who paid 9.99 plus tax and more per child to jus get a birthday song and not a live show thats wrong you should talk to your gm or your distric manager about that

There was a period when i first started working at "D" when they never did Live Shows for the parties...only the Birthday Show! Every so often it still happens even now....store CM's "cheat" and skip the Live and cut to the chase. I've seen this happen at other locations in my travels too...very naughty of them!

I can't say i blame them in a way..some kids could care less about CEC doing a show for them. It does'nt make sense as then you have to wonder why they even bother having their Birthday party there in the first place!

My store was doing that until I got there. At first it was hard and the party host were all like "we don't wanna do a live show!" So my manager told me to take control of it.... and I did.
I hid all the birthday show tapes and left the live show tapes for them to play, so they had to do a live show first before they did birthday.
Now that they do it, they LOVE live shows. I guess that's the good thing about having Cyberstar still.

We weren't doing live shows for the longest time. I don't know if we started doing them again. I'm going to have to drop by on the weekend and find out! I know that they still do "RoadShows". Or they do a Live Show as a Road Show (not associated with a birthday) since our restaurant is completely open now and the gameroom extends into the showroom.

i would KILL my cm if they ever didnt do a live show. thank god that was never a problem in any of the stores in our district. i will say were not as good at doing all the road shows as some other stores...god i hate hearing that come out of my mouth, im working on fixing that right now

Just recently since our show got the dvd player my home store hasn't been doing live shows. the birthday host or hostess goes right to the birthday show. They've just been playing the New Birthday show the one with Eddie Coker on it. I like the birthday star 2002 version. Damn it I wish they'd play the Chuck E. swing live show.

Lucky!:D Maybe if I make a request for them to do the go santa as a live show. Maybe they'll do that one for me. Plus the new birthday star version also.

I was never a GM (thank god) I was in showroom. look @ my s/n on the boardff then look @ the CEC stage list & you'll find the store.

UPDATE: apparently the reason they don't do LIVE'S on weekends is because it's too crowded. Fair enough excuse I don't think so

nah, i think its best when you have 45465 kids up there dancing with chuck. as long as they can make up a dance that the kids can go along with, its great
