This really sucks, I used to go to this location alot as a kid. This was the store that had the king until 95, but like many stores today it's in the ghetto and the building is crapped out so...out with the old in with the new right? :(

That's cool how they still have Can-Alley there, but I doubt they'll take it with them. Do you think the Chuck E. Cheese Roll will survive? Also, any pics of the parody posters?

Have now for quite a while.

It WILL happen...no doubt about it. Eventually they will all be replaced. They HAVE to be as most of them are in crap condition. Studio C cosmetics last longer and the cost of maintenence is cheaper then a CyberShow setup.

It's all about cutting costs wherever they can to keep themselves afloat in the stock market. To Hell with your average Guest or Fan. >:

UPDATE - I went to the NEW location last night for a sneak peak and got lots of pics of the gameroom, kitchen and showroom! I'll try to post them today but I'm going back today for the actual "soft opening" I'll fill you guys in later... ;)

who cares about the new store. you still havent said word 1 about the auction. I'm LITTERALLY typing this w/ my butt on the edge of my seat anxious to know what you came away w/.

Oh, well the auction was cool and was run completely by the auctioneers and at THIS particular location EVERYTHING went with or without chuck e's or the others' faces. The show was auctioned off and even the computer got to go with it. :) A friend and me went and won most of the signs and posters. here's what I won:

"Italy" with Pasqually $15
"Rolling Bone" all characters $15
"Chuck To The Future" $5
"Showroom Sign" $15
"Munch" $20
"Sports Pictures" (5) $45
and various other Chucks for $5
The Restrooms sign $5
and a Sailor Chuck "Wet Floor Sign" $5

It started at 9AM (browsing period) then at 10AM the auction started and to bid you had to register when you got there. Registration required a drivers license or ID and a $300 deposit(fully refunded at the end of the auction IF YOU DIDN'T BID), if you did, then whatever money you spent bidding was just deducted from the $300

It was a looong day, my friend and I left around 9PM cause you couldn't even start taking your stuff down until the auction was over at 6PM.

I think I covered it all...

Oh wait, 12% was tacked onto whatever you won...ehh not much :hat

LOL I wish man, most people wanted the games and rides for their restaurants, bars etc...my friend and I we're the only fans and collectors so on certain items we were the only bidders but some people would bid against us to try to win the signs or posters that's why some prices were slightly higher than others... ;)

i see that rockin bowler lost the cameras and dvd/tv system. sad. the interactive version was an awesome concept. i think it actually added a lot to the fun.

:) That must have be just like the one they installed here in the new Greeley store. I know he must have had less than 16 movements. It really is a crappy way of destroying an otherwise great looking character. Seeing this new 'cappa' character compared to the beautiful way the 'alpha' bot moves is hard to even watch.

i think i can image what it would look like with 8 movements. cuz the alpha bot in lakewood, ca is so broken. chucks head moves left and right, ears move a little, foot taps, and his right arm moves up and down. thats the only movements that currently work. his mouth hardly even opens. lol

Yeah this is the location that that 2 stage Michael's(the guy who bought it no one from this forum) selling came from(it IS a 2 stage he's selling BTW) It was in great shape.. they were running it during the auction and there MAY have been about 2 movements out in the entire show... My tech buddy Troy kept that show working perfect! :((
