View Full Version : A bit about myself.

I tend to do this everywhere I go - dive in and introduce myself properly after. XD

I go by Bluestarultor online, but most people call me Bluesey these days. I also respond to Blue, Blues, Bluestar, and basically any other variation that includes "blue." It's been my name for so long I even respond to it in real life.

I'm a 24-year-old programmer whose day job is in the financial industry, but who loves his work enough to go home and keep programming. I've already released a few working tools including an alarm program that plays music and video and a couple tools and have several game projects just to teach myself how. I compose music, do sprite art, and write, and can claim that my game projects currently include only one object which I didn't do from the ground up.

One of my pet pipe dreams is to form my own band based on the RAE. It was something originally intended as a throwaway in a game project, but took off and crystallized. Center stage owes a lot to Fatz and crew (more than I'd like to be honest), but the mascot, DJ, is purely of my own design. While I never expect to see them in the fabric, I do hope to get some decent 3D models together in Blender so I can work with them and personally have voices for several characters, with friends and family providing more.

I'm not sure how active I'll be here. For one thing, I'm an admin at Final Fantasy Wiki and spend most of my spare time there. For another, I tend to suck at juggling more than two places at once.

Anyway, nice to finally be here (the two-and-a-half-month wait was a killer) and I hope to learn! :)

Welcome man! I had to wait a month and it was a killer too.

Welcome! I hope some of the more technically oriented fans can be of more help that I have been.

Yeah- I think new members have to be approved before they're allowed to post.

Manually approved. Probably by an admin. It was frustrating (very little makes me throw up my hands), more so because it seemed every last available line of communication was broken. It actually made me pause before coming here once I was approved, but I'm not a petty person and can't really fault the staff for letting me in, now can I? ;)
