I just got a Mac with Safari as the web browser. When I went to the RS part of the site; where the player should be; it said that it needed a plugin called "Flip4Mac".

So; I installed the plugin; went back to the site; but now it just showed a blank; black spot where the player should be. Then, I uninstalled Flip4Mac since that obviously didn't work; and now I'm back at square one.

Can anyone help? I'd really like to hear RS on my Mac. Thanks! :)

I still can't get the embedded player to work; but I clicked on the WinAmp link here

http://showbizpizza.com/help/faq.html#radiofaq

and that opened the station in iTunes so I can at least listen to it there. :)

But if anyone knows of a way to get the embedded player to work on the website in Safari; I'd appreciate it.

I use a Mac, and the embedded player has never worked for me, even with Flip4Mac installed. Microsoft used to supply a Windows player for Mac, and the embedded player worked on my older Mac until the upgrade. Now Flip4Mac is the only option Microsoft provides. I just use iTunes and let it go at that.

Dern! Okay; thanks RetroGirl. Muchly appreciated even if it is bad news. :)

I noticed that when I click the WinAmp link, it will load the station fine in iTunes, but it will also download a Playlist file to my Downloads folder (?). Just thought that was odd. Is there any way I can get it to not do that?

RetroGirl- does it to as I described above for you when you click on the WinAmp link on that FAQ page?

The playlist file is a reference file so iTunes can find it again without going back to the webpage. It will update that file every time you click the website link, but it's not a problem causer. From here on, all you have to do is go to iTunes and pull up the direct link. You don't have to go to the website to play Radio Showbiz. If you can't find the link, just search Radio Showbiz in your iTunes search window while you are in the music library.
