I've made a post about this before but I don't think anyone had a straight answer but I wanted to know if there were exact measurements as to where his drums go on his platform... I mean mine's Pasqually now so when his drums were removed to "CU him" they definitely weren't set back in the right place. Now I know the hi hat and bass drum you don't really have much choice once the cylinder's attached but the snare and crash CAN be set anywhere... :-/

Thanks in advance for any help with this! ;)

No, I've seen Dook's snare and cymbals in a variety of positions from early ShowBiz stores to late Pistol Pete's. Sometimes the snare is wildly off-center; sometimes the crash cymbal stand is connected to the stump, other places I've seen it clamped to the side of the bass. The drum equipment is also made by different brands in different locations. Very early shows used Yamaha drums, but most used Ludwigs. However, even among the Ludwigs, some had plastic tightening hardware while others were all metal. Just like the placement of the characters on the stage, there were slight differences and some placements were better than others (i.e. placing Beach Bear so his hand can tap Fatz's shoulder in the fully extended position, but not placing him so close his hand bumps into Fatz lower down and wears the cosmetics on both characters). I even saw a Rock-afire show in La Crosse, WI where Dook was so close to Fatz that his jacket would get caught in Dook's hi-hat. Other than that installation goof, that show was always in excellent condition as a Rock-afire show.

Yeah that may be true I just find it hard to believe that the drums were originally set anywhere willy nilly since CEI measured and overthought EVERYTHING about that show. I wouldn't know where that would be though document-wise. I thought maybe the installation manual but then I realized that the Dook mechs were shipped in the crates to new stores with the drums already mounted to his platform. So it would have to be some in-house install instructions for the guys packing up the shows for shipping if that even existed. :-?

Maybe I'll just see if Aaron can shine some light on this again.
