Ok, my store had the green and purple ones and we got new ones...there pretty cool, but they dont look like the ones in the comercials now-a-days. The ones we received are white with Chuck holding a stack of yellow tickets and he is wearing a red shirt and has a yellow hat on backwords.....and on the other side is a barcode...Like I said above, there neat, but one either problem with these, is that they don't have a sticky end unlike the purple and green ones.
These don't even compare to the purple ones in the comercials... so can any of you tell me if your store still has the purple and green tickets, the ones I mentioned above, or the purple ones in the comercials.... From what I've heard, the purple ones don't even exist... |I >D

Can you post scans of the newer CEC tickets mentioned about in this thread so we can see what they look like?

Yeah, I'd like to see these tickets myself. This would be the newest design since 1996! Wow, 9 years without a change. It's hard to believe some of the littlest changes they haven't made in a while, examples:
* MMBB
* MMBB background
* tickets (recently changed)
* token design (the juvinille head)
* parody posters (and other posters; most are changing but some still survive)
* other stages (check out Rockford, IL;) )
*a whole bunch of other stuff
I really think it's amazing these little differences from the past that still exist.

Well, I finally got a digital camera, but our computer's disc drive broke,:rollin , so I can upload the software for it.
Here are some GOOGLE pictures i've found...Ignore the peole in them, I don't know them, as well as you don't, so lets keep the criticism on the DL!;)
Purple Tickets (http://www.andrew.cmu.edu/user/cc8k/assets/family_photo_album/claudias_bday_12.jpg)
Old tickets, Purple on one side, green on other. (http://photos1.blogger.com/img/24/4392/640/CIMG000413.jpg)
And I couldn't find a pic of the Red Shirt ones I mentioned above (the one's I have a my store now) but they look exactly like the purple one's in the first pic, they just don't have a purple backround, its just plain white.:x

The "Purple Tickets" mentioned above have been in our area since 2001! Amazing to hear some of you have not seen these until now! I refer to them as the "FC Tickets" (Full Color Tickets) as they were the first full color tix ever offered at a CEC. For the past 8 months or so none of the stores here have had them....i assumed they had been discontinued due to the incredible expense it must be to produce full color tickets.
It does seem a waste, exspecially now a days since most tickets are seen for only about 10 seconds before they are shoved by a Guest into the Ticket Muncher.
There have been several ticket design changes since 1996....most of the changes involve color variations of the logo and in some cases a slight change in the logo heads. I have a whole series of variations in my archieve. There were 3/4 different variations alone from 99' thru 2002, but again it was mostly just the same logo in different colors. The most common being what i called the "Christmas Tickets" ( red ink logo on one side, green ink logo on the other.)
There was a design tested a few years ago at the test location in Irving when the Ticket Munchers were first being introduced. I have one of these tickets, and it's just a simple purple ticket with the modern CEC title in white along the edges. The main center of the ticket is a big ol' ugly barcode! I'm actually glad they decided to not go with this design...having the actual character on it is far better.
The game tickets will more then likely see a update sometime in the next year i would think. Everything else is getting the fresh new Phase 4 "head" and logo.

No doubt just a cost-cutting measure.
Less colors on the ticket image means less $$ spent to add the other color(s)!

weird... the cecs around here were using the color tickets with the white backgrounds, but now theyve gone back to the green on one side and purple on the other...

i was at a location the other day and i tried munching some tickets from another place(caesarland) the ticket munchers took them and credited them to me. I told a manager about this they just laughed. i guess its just like the major magics around here half of there tokens are cec's...

My CEC store in Whitehall PA has had the plain white tickets with him not holding the tickets but with what most cec logo signs have from on the outside of the building and inside to as well modern cec head look with him pointing like to his logo. one side Had red ink and the other side had green ink. I believe the green side had 2002 Showbiz merchandising printed on the bottom of the tickets.:D then came the same look but in different ink colors lime green and fushia purple. I'm for the purple. But lime green I don't think so LOL!!! I believe those were used until 95-2004. then from there came the purple and green looking ones. I liked those. they looked very sharp looking. maybe they'll come back again in those colors. Now we just been having the plain white once but not in those green and purple colors.:\

Yeah, the chips have three sensors on them. First sensor reads that something is feeding tickets to the machine and the first sensor all starts the motor to shred the tickets.
The second sensor just reads that how many tickets have passed by and displays them. And the third sensor also reads how many tickets have passed, but if you try to cheat the system, and pull your tickets backwards, to keep adding up your tickets, the third sensor will read that and start detracting your # of tickets won. Go ahead and try it, you will be sorry, sometimes you may get away with it, but good luck.
So pretty much the third sensor makes sure the tickets pass the second one, so they count as a full ticket won.
