Well I just got off the phone with Gradie O'Neal who owns Tiki Studios in San Jose, California and I was asking him if he had any info about Frankie Cie(King '90) which he did, and gave me some phone numbers to follow up on... but during our discussion about Pizza Time, Scott Wilson etc he mentioned that all the Pizza Time stuff and cabaret stuff was actually recorded there! I don't know if anyone else knew this yet but I sure as hell didn't know the official studio... Which by the way IS still there today. ;)

He also mentioned that one of the character voices(which he thinks was the first Jasper in '77) was actually an astronaut! Kind of odd, but I don't doubt it since all of his other info was spot on. :-O

I'm going to follow up on the phone numbers he gave me for Frankie Cie who supposedly was last heard from in Austin, Texas working with Willie Nelson! That'd be awesome, me being so close! :->

I'll keep you guys posted...this could lead to more cool info and or a meeting with Frankie Cie himself...

Gabe - just be careful how much you post. Unfortunately not everyone has common sense!
We don't need to lose any more contacts.

Did you ask if they had kept any recordings archived?

Oh yeah I know about this first hand, it's all good. ;)

Yes and unfortunately no... PTT kept all the masters which were actually originally 24 tracks taken down to one track of audio and one of data. :(

Thanks! :)

Cool - thanks for the confirmation on the 24 tracks - so they definitely DID record professionally and laid down 24 track masters. (Most every professionally recorded audio of any type would be done this way)...even today - digitally.

Yeah and unfortunately if the PTT masters DID make it from HQ's to the "new" HQ's in Dallas during the merger they're gone now! Cause it'd be nice to just have mixed down stereo tracks than just mono... :(( Oh well, it's hard not to complain and become picky... I have to remind myself alot of where we came FROM and where we are NOW. =D>

I remember what little of anything we had back when the sites(Travis's & Nick's) were starting up and it's members were coming together in '98/'99 trying to find the pieces to alot of what was puzzling! The forum sure made us feel closer so thanks to Darryl... I think it was who suggest it to Travis?

I'm always amazed at just how many showtapes you guys have found and made available to us on Radio Showbiz. Always greatly appreciated. :)

I wish Gradie had the circa 1979 CECPTT Helen Henny (goose version) reel!

And yes, this forum has gotten us to feel closer by solving the missing pieces for over a decade on CECPTT origins.

If not a reel at least a reservation list of who got recorded at what time and maybe a description of what they were recording. Maybe receipts of how many takes they did, might be funny to find out what shows needed more takes to get the lines right.

Thank you Gabe/Pizzacam, for the fascinating factoid on Tiki Studios' strong connection to Pizza Time Theatre!

This long-time fan of both Elvis and PTT's King wishes you all the best in your quest/search for additional bits of information.

As others have stated, may each of us leave the "dirty work" to Gabe, hopefully at least one Cabaret/Lounge voice actor/actress won't flee the fandom in horror!

It'd be awesome to find out that Frankie Cie is a close personal friend of Willie's{as we know he's worked with him at least once}, "The Red-Headed Stranger" is also a musician whom I deeply respect/admire.

Well thanks for the support... I love your words of advice for some of our obnoxious members. I've done a pretty good job of this so let me work my magic and this could benefit us all if you're a fan of his work which I personally am and I know there are several other as well. I'll keep you guys/gals posted! ;)
