Haha, no its nothing to celebrate about....this b-day one is the worst out of all the B-day ones, maybe the worst L.E. period!

Chuck is wearing a Cake on his head as a hat, then his shirt just says Happy Birthday on it, and thats about it. He is wearing the same shorts and red, blue, and white shoes.
His tag says something like: Did someone say Birthday?! Chuck loves celebrating birthdays, especially at his place.....etc....blah.....boring.....etc.....:x :x :x :rolleyes

Holy Crap!!

They JUST issued the one for 1st quarter! How can this one now be issued? It's not even 2nd quarter yet!!

Hmm...maybe the Company has caught on as to how there is a following of people like us who buy these collectible dolls. Perhaps instead of ONE doll per quarter, they are now doing TWO editions a quarter?

The B-day one seems a little early...it usually comes out in March. I only know this as it always would be around for my real Birthday!

This has been out for weeks out here. Like probably 3 or more weeks. Sandie went to our local CEC (Greeley) to get a mass stock of 2005 Bday plushes for the Fan Club packs, and she was offered the new ones then.

She said it was ugly and plain too. I was thinking she was crazy since I hadn't read about it on the board yet and this was probably around the time that the Olympic Chuck was just being mentioned.

I should have had her buy one... I'm like 3 or 4 behind on my collection at this point.

I know...I hate the fact that all or most stores put out a L.E. and don't put out any others until the previous ones are sold. :x

I like that actually...it works to my advantage.

I usually show up at my local store when i know they have been released and shipped. Even if they are not yet out ( which is usually the case) i ask people i know there about them and they are more then happy to pull out the bags of the new edition from the Merch closet. I can then pick whichever ones i like before anyone else gets a chance.

This guarentees clean, mint dolls and since i'm very fussy with the faces ( no crooked teethof eyes...wrinkled materials, etc.) i have the chance to pick the best from the bunch!

So not putting them right out is a good thing...from a certain point of view! :)

These newer dolls are becoming more and more complicated and better made then the earlier ones. Awesome to see really, as it's usually the other way around ( the product gets cheaper, not better!).

I have to say that the last 3 have been impressive as far as the materials used for them, and the complexity of their little costumes. Olympic Chuck has some amazing details for a plush doll, and the Fiesta Chuck is equally stunning. His hat is made of actual straw it looks like, and his maracas actually work! Very cool....

I look forward to what the next few editions will look like!


I still think their should be a Soccer Chuck ( or other sport-related edition) and of course next year it would totally kick to see a 30th Anniversary "Classic Chuck" doll.

Oh...and has everyone now seen the ALL NEW versions of Chuck and Helen in plush form? I recently saw the new small and super size plush CEC's and they are very nicely made. The fabric is a soft velor type material and he is stuffed much softer then previous editions. Very nice work. Also, for the die-hard collectors....the new plush CEC's now more closely resemble "large" versions of the Limited Edition series. The 2006 version of the Super Size Chuck also has extremely HUGE ears! Has anyone else seen these? Man...they are really starting to play up the "mouse" aspects in this Rat.
