My name is Tim and I'm an alcoholic. Wait. Sorry. Wrong board. I discovered this site about 4 years ago but couldn't join the board because of the lack of a home computor. Got one and came straight here.

Something about me: I'm a single dad, livin' la vida loca in Ky. I have over 1600 movies in my collection. (Everything from Betamax to Blu-ray). Because of my love for movies, I started a tv show where I play all kinds of movies, cartoons and tv shows. (You can see clips here www.youtube.com/somethinsuavetheater (http://www.youtube.com/somethinsuavetheater) ) I'm a pack rat. I enjoy long walks on the beach and women who appreciates a good game of pinball.

Never been too good at introducing myself. So any questions, feel free to ask.

I saw it on hulu after trying to figure out how to get it for years. Whenever I had money, I had to pay bills. When I was broke, I found it. (sigh) But I loved the documentary and it inspired me. I do a public access tv show in Covington Ky. (Shamless plug. You can see clips here www.youtube.com/somethinsuavetheater (http://www.youtube.com/somethinsuavetheater)) I play movies, tv shows and cartoons in the public domain. I want to do an episode that's surrounded by The Rock-afire Explosion. Not do a documentary per-se, but just record the band singing a song and interviewing the people who own them. Ask why? And I know the answer will probably be more like "Why not." If I had the money, I WOULD buy the show. I like showcasing people doing the things they love. Being collecting something or doing stand-up comedy. And I think my show is maturing to the state where I can do stuff like this. This whole website/documentary has re-awakend something in me that has been dormant for years. I remember going to Showbiz Pizza and seeing Chuck-E-Cheese there and being very upset. I thought Chuck-E was trying to steal Showbiz from Billy Bob. Showbiz was and always will be my favorite restaraunt. I have a son now and he's big on Chuck-E-Cheese. But I hate going there. (Even though I now know the whole story) And I mean no disrespect to the Chuck-E fans out there. I think it's awesome that theres people out there who are passionate about the things they love. I collect movies. I have over 1600 movies on everything from Betamax to Blu-Ray. And I have the largest collection of music from The Monkees than anybody I know. I already contacted Chris about his show and I'm getting ready to write to the others.

I have EVERY single album of the monkees. All of the studio albums several times. 10 greatest hits. 3 Best of. 2 box sets. And Ion my computor I have 9.54 gigs and counting of nothing but the monkees that I copied from my cds. I have things that the monkees themselves forgot they did. lol. And I saw that The RAE did a Monkees Medley and have been dying to find it somewhere.

The Monkees medley that the RAE did is a lot of fun- it pops up on Radio Showbiz quite a bit.

If you'd like to talk Monkees; join us on the Steve Hoffman Music Collector forum- there are a ton of other Monkees fans there and The Monkees come up as topics a lot:

Cool. I'm in south-central Ky near the Tennessee border. What cable system are you on? My brother is a tv engineer in Lexington and he's about to start a new job with Insight working on their production studios.

Thats cool. My friend lives in Clarksville Tenn. (Which is funny since I'm a Monkees fan.) My show is on Insight, but it's seperate from them. It's on TBNK 22. (www.tbnk.org (http://www.tbnk.org)) TBNK stands for The Telecommunications Board of Northen Ky. We run 4 channels. Used to be 5 but that went to Boone County.
