Well I went to SHD tonight, known as the Danvers CEC store:

Wow, the show looked cleaned, damn it was really cleaned, everything was cleaned from eyes to cosmetics. All the eyes and lids were bright, Helen's fur was white, and all look alright.;)
Though...
I managed to almost get through the whole Jan 06 showtape, though they just had to shut the DVD system off during the middle of "I'll Tumble 4 Ya" for the LIVE show.

BUT......

They manually closed Chuck's curtains and than started the LIVE and Chuck came out. Wow, great that Danvers still flows with the magic. :eek :eek :eek :eek :eek

Now that I brought it up...

To Corperate CEC:
I suggest that thinking about this, you should send a memo to all CEC stores to request that they should manually close Chuck's curtains ONLY during LIVE shows. You still have curtains tied up, and there is still a chance for a no '2 Chuck E.' rules!:eek 8o

Yes, Danvers still does the manual curtain close on the Chuck stage when he comes up for parties and Live Shows.....but only when certain people are working. It is not consistant, at least, not that i am aware of....but they do a good job with it most of the time.

The Stage characters have always been a great shape because they were cared for. After a low point in the late 90s, in 99' things started to get much better ( i had a teeny bit to do with that change...). By the early 2000's we had the highest rated show in the District...and Danvers still ranks this today. When i left i passed on the 'eye' to others, and my pal J stayed on to help spot anything that needing fixing or cleaning....and things have carried on like this since.

The current Tech there is aware of how it is supposed to look.....so he has the advantage over a lot of other Stores in our area.
I find a BIG reason why most Stores have poor quality Shows is simply the fact the Tech's there do not know how it is supposed to look. Once you see a clean, well operating Show you can immediately notice the difference. We used to have a lot of visiting Tech's talk about this...and how they would go back to their own locations and know what to fix.

Yes, Danvers still closes Chuck's curtain when he does a live show...(how do you think he gets down from the stage!) and yes the curren ttech "V" still takes great care of the stage. I was there 2 weeks ago, and I know that Chuck did 2 live shows and a b-day show and his curtain was indeed closed.
