View Full Version : Were balcony shows maintained better?

I have yet to see footage of a balcony show with a light out, or a movement out, or anything like that. It seems like the quality control has really slipped in the last decade.

Yeah exactly... it's not so much that repairs or maintenance is being overlooked as much as it's that it's just not in the focus or in the overall goals as much as it was back then...
Back in those(better) days the show was still the focus as much as or at least more than the games are today. It's sad but unfortunately they have to think in business terms and today people aren't coming in just to see the show(not in masses at least) So they have the worry more about the games and and the food which actually bring in the money.

I think that's one of the reasons I like the balcony show better- it always looked fantastic even if Studio C is flashier and has more movements.

while i am not that familiar with CEC that much, i liked the 3-stage show better than the balcony & studio c. I have never seen the balcony show in person but i've watch a lot of clips on it.
i would have actually preferred the awesome time adventure machine over the studio c setup (if they absolutely had to go to one robot).
