WTF happened to the chicken fingers!? At least here in San Antonio they've been given the axe. What gives? Did they disappear everywhere already? It was a quick argueless way to get my friend to give me a ride down there. This sucks! >:

The chicken fingers are alive and well up here in Ohio......

I was kind of wondering when they'd come to Chicago... I was messing around with the (Aloha) register awhile back and found that the Chicken Fingers were on there, along with Lasagna, and a Kids' Meal (a corn dog, if I remember correctly).

Not here on the east coast yet. I did see the famous "4 my way" key on the register though

Kind of like the company just doing away with the low carb pizza...they aren't on the menu anylonger

Yeah! And we never had that...I guess alot of these items are tested in different areas. 8o

We're currently testing 2 kinds of wraps (Chicken Caesar and Chicken Club), and the ham and cheese sandwich has been dropped in favor of a Crispy Chicken Ciabatta sandwich.

They had Low Carb Pizzas?? I haven't been around there in a while have I? LOL! A Low Carb pizza sounds like a good deal. That would actually be good for diabetics you know.

I wonder what Helen Henny thinks of chicken fingers being served at her boyfriends resturant...

Hmmm...look out Chuck.

Soon there may well be 'Chucken Fingers" if she finds out.....

Correction. The classic grilled chicken sub wasn't dropped. They just slapped it on Ciabatta bread like the crispy chicken ciabatta (there are now two types of chicken sandwiches, one with the pulled chicken and one with the tenders on it). They're also testing the chicken fingers appetizers setup too. So that means a child chicken tenders (3) and an adult chicken tenders (5) and an appetizer of chicken tenders with celery and three sauces and six tenders. Sometimes I wish it was the good old days again, more ways than one.

Damn, it's amazing how many different things were tested at different locations! I know in the early 90's one or more stores had a breakfast menu with stuff like french toast sticks and pancakes etc...Does anyone know if Joe Elliot is still the head of R&D?

No they don't...that's the only CEC I've ever been to that does.

That's odd, I thought hot dogs were a pretty standard item at CEC.

Joe Elliot is still the R&D man. He was at the store I work at in June to rollout the wraps and such. Interesting fellow that Joe Elliot....another story though. Most CEC's probably have hot dogs but no one orders enough of them for anyone to notice. HAHA

Yeah they have hot dogs at all the Tx locations. I get 'em now and then, maybe to me they're just better cause they're made in the oven...:lol

All Stores in these parts have Hot Dogs as well...and they are probably the most popular item ordered for kids next to pizza f course.

People tell me the Hot Dogs are really good too...but i don't have them. I had too much fun making up my own "recipies" in the Kitchen ( veggie calzone, cinnomin sticks ( long before the official ones) pretzels, you name it!)

I think she meant when she worked at CEC. I used to do this too when I worked there! It's cool when you get to make your OWN lunch there ;)

Wow too bad all they talk about is pizza in the shows maybe if they talked about the chicken fingers they'd do better. Maybe Melvin can see about mentioning them in his new bday...

and never saw any of that other stuff, 4 way pizza, chicken fingers or the low carb pizza which i heard is a normal pizza but with less sauce.

i loooove making fun stuff in the kitchen. i have my own signature pizza, everytime i go to another store to work that ive been in before, they always beg me to make it

I'm pretty sure the chicken fingers were Tyson brand...seems to be what CEC always uses. Maybe I can find them at Sam's lol They just tasted better being baked through the pizza oven, like the hot dogs. :\

Well we've always had hot dogs up this way. Our chicken rollout has been going strong. We've had the closed vat fryer since 2004 and doesn't look like it's going anywhere anytime soon. All of our side orders, fries, wings, chix tenders, mozz, are cooked in the fryer instead of the oven, they are actually completely different foods (different fries, different styx, etc)...We've got the crispy chicken ciabatta which is two chix tenders on a ciabatta bun like the rest of our sandwhiches. The tenders and all of our chicken products including the pulled chix meat is PURDUE. Come to think of it, I believe the wings we used to serve, which are probably still the most current out there for CEC's were tyson, but we switched to purdue, b/c it looks better when it comes out of the fryer and I believe everyone in our market has also gone to Purdue, I am not sure of the TN market that is using the fryers, or the other markets that are using the fryers.
