Was the song "Venus" from the 1992 space show the Bananarama song? If so I assume Helen sings it. If anyone saw it, how did it compare to the Rock-afire version?

LOL well nothing compares to Mitzi's version. I have the Space Show from '92, Pasqually sings it but this is when Bob West was still doing his voice, not this goober that's doing it now. :rolleyes

I have to agree with Gabe on this...Bob West was THE MAN when it came to voicing Pasqually.

The "modern' version is dang annoying!! That laugh alone peels paint!!

At least with Bob, Pasqually had some wit and charm heard in his voice...and he could SING GOOD!

When you hear Pasqually these days....his voice features none of the above!

Pasqually was a really cool character until about the mid 90's. Now he's a joke.

I don't know if Pasqually was ever "cool" but his voice at least early on wasn't annoying. I haven't heard the recent one. Brian was good enough to send me the clip. I notice the Helen song right after this tries very hard to be Madonna's "Lucky Star". Maybe they were avoiding having to pay the licensing or could not get it and did a version of "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star" in a similar manner (hey 2 Mitzi songs in a row!). I just think the show would have been much better had they let Helen sing Venus and they had done the actual song "Lucky Star". It was not a bad segment. Maybe they didn't want to rip Mitzi off too blatantly.

Ok I see what you guys mean on the current voice. It's subtle but he has this annoying sort of "singy" tone to his voice when he does Pasqually. It isn't that differetn from older voices but it is slightly annoying. That being said I have never cared for him anyway.

The old Pasqually was there as a singer, this new persona they've given him is annoying and I'm a huge Pasqually fan. This new Pasqually wants to just cram corny ass jokes down your throat...:rolleyes
