Clapper board question

Was the clapper board in use 'till the balcony stages were replaced, or was it discontinued some years prior to that?

The clapper board and band had to be replaced when the VCR system when in Header 6 (the card that's jumper is set to pin 6) ran the clapper board and pans. That card was needed to become the VCR switcher card that switched the channels between birthdays and intermissions. The clappers are programmed well into the late 80s from shows I ran. My guess is they were still used for Franchize stores that had reels but they had to be disconnected to those that went to Cyberstar. My best guess is around 1987 they were discontinued altogether. I was actually surprised how many of my later shows still had them programmed.
