Look for another price hike for CEC around June 12th or so....the value meals will be going up about $1 in most areas...the salad bar will be increasing, wings among other things. Also the add on Med pizza is gone ($9.99) it will now be a large pizza that you can add on...with a savings of only $1.00 vs $2.00 now on the med
That is it from here

awww, come on, $1 and youre goin to pizza hut???
i went to the olive garden the other day, actually i took my trainers for dinner. i got what i normally got.....it was about half the size as it used to.
i would guess that most guests wont realize a $1 increase, but people will notice a huge portion cut. id rather pay $1 more and get the same amount than still be hungry

Well, it's just...when I go get a large at CEC it's like $23.00 and come on...it's CEC pizza not too great..but Pizza Hut's way better and it's a little less than $23.00 for a large.

It's a bit hard to go there and pay almost $20 for a large pizza when:
A. It's not really a "Large" at all! It's really a "Medium" when you compare it to other pizza joints locally...
B. The price is all profit....it costs about $1.25 to make a Large....labor included!
C. Uh....it's not really as tasty as it used to be.
Okay, maybe i am being a little jaded since i once worked in the thick of CEC....and i am aware that part of the price is paying for the fun atmosphere.
But seriously.....it's becoming far too expensive for what you actually recieve.
Chuck "Expensive" Cheese methinks.

NOOOOOO Way!
Dang!>:
Wings are now $7.99?
Salad is $5.49 for a small one trip salad which is a tiny bowl.
$6.49 for all you can eat!
And yes, Pizza at CEC is great, but its expensive. A larger is $14.99, but plus two toppings at $1.99 each, that already hits the $18.00's, then add tax, and it hits the $20.00 mark.
Man im glad im a assistant tech, if I wasn't I wouldn't get free food, and I wouldn't pay for food that expensive.:rolleyes

WTF! FREE FOOD JEFF! are you like on the Manager level at your store? reminds me of how I got screwed when I was working for my franchised unit, Started out having to pay 50% for my meals eaten during shifts and 20% for those off shift. Then came the day i'd been waiting for meals while @ work ON THE HOUSE (YES!!!!!) next thing I know we're back to PAYING for our lunches so I ask the boss why and he said "just trying to follow corporate policy" apparently Corporate CM's don't get free meals.>: just one of the many reasons why i no longer work for the mouse

Yeah when you're an assistant tech they kinda consider it a manager...at least you get most of the manager perks..ie free food :p

apparently Corporate CM's don't get free meals.
It depends on the management, but it's not "standard" policy for CMs to get free food.

I used to make mediums for the staff during busy shifts so they could have something. I would just put it on my tab, as i was able to have whatever i wanted for free.
When i was a CM, i think i paid half off or along those lines....many times i paid nothing as my GM would "treat me" to Lunch/Dinner when we would work shifts together.
When i was promoted i always had a open menu...anything anytime at any CEC in this District. Many times it also covered Merch ( everyone knew i was a serious collector). The larger items i would pay 50%. It was nice....as i have a very hard time paying full price for some of that stuff, food and merch, mainly because i learned from working there how ridiculously overpriced the goods are.
I still use my promo cup i used when i worked there....so i STILL get free drinks at least! No way i'm paying for a drink!! LOL!!!
I'll have my cup in TX.......the places that thing has been....:p

i stick with this policy
cm meal 50% off
Team 2 and tech & mgrs free
salad bar is free
but i stick to 1 meal per shift. and not when youre not working. you cant just come in on your day off and get free salad or 50% off food.
drinks are free all the time no matter what
but its not uncommon when i eat for me to just make a large and let everyone else munch on it too. or if we have one of those crazy work your a$$ off shifts, free food is almost a given. plus i always write up cards that have 5 free emp. meals on them and use them for prizes for games during meetings.
since ive worked in every store in this district, i dont ever pay for food, no matter where. all of the managers in our district are pretty tight, especially the gm's. we have a meeting every few months and all go out to lunch afterwards. weve all worked together at some point. ive actually worked for every single one of them, most back when i was still a CM.
our large pizza is 11.99 - fun saver is 30.99 - like i said, i welcome the dollar being well below average

one other thing....pizza pays for a lot being that about 60% of sales is food - i think you guys are forgetting a ton here....
electricity, gas, air conditioning, cleaning stuff, game repairs, telephone, hvac, water, sewage, trash, blah blah blah, the list goes on and on. its not just labor.
if you have your own little pizza joint, what would your electric bill be? $250? no games. you wont have half of that stuff. you can have pizzas for $5 like pizza hut does cause you have so much less cost to cover. i bet i could open a pizza joint and be a millionare real quick. but for some reason, i just cant stop bleeding cec pizza sauce....ive been hooked for 10 years almost.....
i really do love my job and love trying to be the best and really cant imagine doing anything else.
