View Full Version : How about a page of every Showbiz, PTT, and CEC location?

I don't know if it's feasable; but how about a page (or sub-pages, I guess) on the site of every former and current SPP, PTT, CEC, and misc. FEC out there?

In the case of former stores it could list if the place closed, or if it converted from a SPP to a CEC.

I admit that would take a lot of work from all of us (a lot of submisions!) but it could be a fantastic resource.

As a bonus; the CEC section could list which show type is currently installed.

This would save a lot of people asking and answering the same questions over and over.

Paul you're spoiling the surprise....

Haha, yeah actually we've been privately discussing how best to go about this. With CEC having over what, 500 stores now, this would be quite the undertaking. But it would be awesome to get something like this put up. I'm not sure how deep it would make sense to go into closed stores, but that would be neat if possible.

I was looking at your threads about open stores that still have the RAE and my rough count was 3 with the classic shows (Funzone, BBW, and that place in WA state which may or may not even work). Then the 2 Odyssey locations for the NRAE. Other than that I'm drawing a blank... pretty sad. In order to offer much in the arena of the Rock-afire you'd almost have to go into closed stores because there's just not much left.

The thing that scares me about delving too deep into closed stores is you'd almost need some sort of documentation that they even existed. Things that have an address, memos, paperwork, etc. I'm a little wary on trusting vague memories and people's recollections from 20+ years ago. I've been hoping someday that a list of SPP and PTT locations would surface, but so far there's been nothing comprehensive.

I could help with every CEC in the northeast. I've been to almost every one!

The page for CEC stores would have to say what CONDITION the show was in, not just the type.

There is a list of "PTT" stores from the mid 1980's. I've seen it. Lists all the pertinent information. "Someone" just needs to scan and submit the information.
