Yeah it was on the news here in San Antonio last night... Is it in a rough neighborhood or? That's one of the reasons they closed Walzem... it was pretty ghetto already then everything started going out of business or moving north so it was becoming desolate too...

i haven't been to that restaurant in a few years. one of my former co-workers moved to the company-owned side as a manager and did her training at that location. i think it's in a good neighborhood. i think it's close to a school as the street it's on is Mowry School Rd. about the only destinct thing i remember about it is the showroom had these giant plasma tv's built into the walls on either side of their 1-stage show,(although I have a feeling they replaced those w/ HD Tv's when the store was remodeled.

Hmm... I wonder what it is that seems to make this store a target for robberies. Could just be a coincidence I guess... :-/

and openly hireing returining military and off duty cops to work (unarmed) would be a bad idea because?

There's a cop/security guard at two different CEC's I frequent. They stand by the doors outside and sometimes occasionally walk through the restaurant. They also help customers with lost or stolen items (or at least the one in National City did. It's a pretty bad neighborhood and people were getting things stolen from them in the restaurant).
