Well I visited my local CEC in Waterbury today and got some bad news. First, I found out that the regional manager wants to get Chuck an avenger outfit. (He currently has a tuxedo) Right before I left, I asked the General Manager of the store if they had any plans to decorate the stage for Christmas. Much to my disappointment she said, "Corporate won't let us; if I wanted to decorate the stage I would have to buy all decorations through them." ????????????????? Who came up with this bright idea??? Waterbury has had the best Christmas stage in CT the past 3 years!!! And why? Because both managers would bring in their decorations from their houses and put them all over the stage. Does anybody know anything about this??? CEC has REALLY got it right this time! This is the way to make magic! Singing Christmas songs with no decorations! I guess she could buy them from Corporate, but its such a waste of money when she already has decorations in the back room in a box! Anyway, I did get the whole show and I will be uploading them to YT soon under the username "chuckecheeseshows". They should be up by tomorrow.

Make Magic! Without it we're just another pizza place!

I guess that phrase has no meaning anymore. :(

hmmm... not sure why that manager said "Corporate won't let us." Cause with the release of the holiday show we will be sending out a seprate dvd that has some infomation from the entertainment dept where we give some ideas on decorating the stages. So I'm not sure where that came from.

Sorry, I missed something. I meant to say "Corporate won't let us use our own decorations; if I wanted to decorate the stage I would have to buy decorations through them." I said it later, but I should have said it there as well. If she has to buy decorations, does it come out of her pocket? I wouldn't think so.

All I have to say on this topic is that if I owned a CEC, I would spend maybe $100 to decorate my stage and store. Espically if I owned one with a 3 stage.

By him saying corporate wont let us...maybe that was just a cop out to not decorate this year...or, more likely, your DM won't allow decorating. I have heard that there have been issues in the northeast in the past regarding stores decorating for the holidays.
I've run into a little bit of that at my store in the past, and basically worked my way through it and I decorate BIG TIME. We're known as the big decoraters in my district. :)

It could also be considered a "religious" thing as theres nothing that has to do with any hoildays but Christmas. I could see guests getting a little upset that Chuck and the gang are Christians and not the guests religion.

If I was you all, I put up other dicoratings for other hoidays that are at the same time, because the show is called "Hoiday show", Sure all that they all sign might me none thing but Christmas songs, but we need to show that Chuck E dosen't just care for Christmas (Yet all most all the songs have to do with that hoiday)

Agreed, Chuck celebrates every hoiday.

No, its definitely not a way to get out of decorating. She would put stockings, lights, santa hats on all the characters, wreaths, presents on the stage, all sorts of things. She has that stuff in a box. So Idk why she can't use it again when its just in the backroom??? I did say in the third post, "Corporate won't let us use our OWN decorations."
