Fire at local cec.

Hi yall. someone broke into a local cec by me and threw malitof cocktails through the window at about 3am this morning.. that location is currently closed. hey noslugsback you know what location i'm talking about can you elaborate more..... i don't want to elaborate or go in to details because there still looking for the people who did it. It's costing the company alot of money to repair. :eek :eek

All I know is what you know. I'm heading up there (as well as most of the techs in the district) tomorrow and possibly Wednesday to lend a hand getting games repaired (if they can be) or dried out.

hope you can save stuff. i'm so shocked. i know the last time i was there i gave them a bad report because most of the games were down. well know i could kick my self for doing that.... Tell them that i'm so sorry i gave them that bad report and hope they are open really soon.. i feel so bad. i wish i could come out to help...

not that I'm aware of. It happened at 3am. They threw something through a fire escape door and it made a huge mess. local tv showed the photo ride and poor chuck e was melted... sad and sickening. local authorities are giving a $5,000 reward. they are also asking if anybody saw anything. as there were no security cameras outside nor overnight security patrols... >: >: >:

The only total loss was the Photo Ride (totally toasted), the Air Hockey (lots of smoke and water damage) and the Bigfoot ride (mainly water damage).
Apparently, the perps broke out a side window and threw their incendiary devices through it. Most of the fire damage was restriced to the area around those three games. The rest of the games had some water issues and some soot, but for the most part, they'll live again.
The carpet and ceiling tiles are being replaced, so most of the work was moving games into a storge area and cleaning them inside and out.
It was a real mess, but nothing insurmountable.
They're looking to re-open Friday afternoon.

Great news Dan! I also heard they had to throw away all the food and get all new merch ordered they also had to resechdule all birthday parties to other locations as well as place managers at different locations for time being.. :eek

The Studio C was unharmed, but a new Chuck is coming in. The existing Chuck smelled of smoke and will travel back to Topeka for extensive cleaning.

All i can say is thank heaven that no kids or employees were in there when this happened. could you imagine....:o :o well I'm glad to see that there trying to be open this weekend. After every tech in the district converging on the store like a swam of locusts; some of them working through the night, the store is ready to open (actually, it's open now).
All the games are 100% (or will be tomorrow). It was an interesting expeience, but now I'm a week behind at my store (sigh).
