I was going to say, hasn't this place been gone for a very long time?

I didn't know that they closed! their website is still up. Though I looked at it before I wrote this and saw it hadn't been updated in a while. Good thing I know now because I was planning to go their in the fall.

According to the article, they just finally closed up earlier this month. I thought they had a couple of locations - maybe it was the other stores that closed much earlier?

Not unexpected to see with the current economy, but still sad to watch another FEC disappear into history :(

According to the Toledo Blade article about the closing of Major Magic's, the Toledo area had 5 pizza/video game entertainment chains in the early -mid 1980's. Besides Major Magic's and CECPTT the Toledo area might have had for the other 3 ShowBiz Pizza Place and/or Tex Critter's and/or Bullwinkle's. (Farrell's Ice Cream Parlor, which used to have a location in Franklin Park Mall in Toledo, Ohio from the 1970's to about the early 1980's doesn't count)

The Showbiz Pizza in Buffalo didn't switch over to a Chuck E Cheese, it left and Major Magics took it's place. Although I didn't like it as much as Showbiz, I thought it was better than the Chuck E. Cheese characters.

I didn't know there was a Major Magic's in Buffalo, NY in the 1980's besides the few in Michigan and 1 in Toledo, Ohio!

Pretty cool! I know when I went to the one in Livonia before! the show room was so full and noisy I sat in the game room! Business was booming in the 1990's I myself prefered the Chuck E. Cheese in Southgate Michigan the best!!!

as far as i know corporate Major Magics don't even exist any more. hence no showtapes no improvements etc. Toledo was the last known Major Magics to be in existance. The former one in Madision heights was doomed back in 2005 when Chuck and his pals came along in Troy Michigan! so i'd say no franchise, across the usa.
