Ok, as requested by Danny...hentsforth known as "Billy" I am starting a highlights thread. I have to say the biggest thrill for me was meeting some new folks from the board, and seeing some old friends that have come to CV's before.
Other memories for me will be , "Wicked" , $175 under, Losing my parking claim check, spending 2 hours in traffic, the friday night drive thru times square with Mike and the crew, The Kings band going on strike, MARS 2112, and Capt. Orian, the roller coaster thingie at funzone, Adventurelands haunted house and train ride w/the sick employee!, leaving my credit card at Ruby Tuesdays, and I really loved the Sunday morning breakfast, and Central park reinactment of Enchanted.
I guess what Im trying to say is that I enjoyed most of the weekend, baring the few problems that I had to deal with on Saturday.
Thank you all for making the weekend a wonderful one for me and Cheryl

I would say my favorite parts on Saturday was: Getting to wear a colander, getting my picture taken with the king, getting scammed in time square (picture below), going to Mars 2112 (truly an awesome restaurant!), seeing the Rock-afire Explosion at FunZone (working or not they were a great sight to see!!), getting to ride the roller coaster at Adventureland, actually not getting tooo wet on the log water ride at Adventureland (picture below), and most of all getting to spend time with some great people from the board!!! The farewell breakfast on Sunday was also great fun! CheeseVention SeVen was a lot of fun this year now we can look forward to next year!!!

I think the highlight of CV7 was getting to meet people from the forum and seeing Beach Bear in person for the first time!
I loved mutated Choo Choo too. Haha.

Actually most of you guys missed one highlight of CV7 that took place before you arrived....RTR interviewing Looney Bird again for the Rapid T. Rabbit Show.
Guess you'll have to wait for the CV7 DVD to see that now...

As other CV7 attendees have stated, meeting and spending time with more fellow board members here was easily the event's greatest highlight of all for me. Damon was the only co-member on this forum that I had met in person prior to our recent fan gathering.
Here are my top two favorite moments from Saturday, June 19: the terrific Astral Cod fish sandwich that I ordered for lunch during our visit to Mars 2112 and the glorious celebration cake that was presented to us at Fun Zone.
Here I am eating my piece of the cake: http://inlinethumb49.webshots.com/34032/2361889430103850009S425x425Q85.jpg
Now for my top two favorite moments from Sunday, June 20: Breakfast at The Candlewick Diner was amazingly grand; I ordered a supremely fabulous customized omelet that was packed with a high amount of remarkable flavor. There was a photo-opportunity in Central Park for visitors to pose with a young lady dressed in a fairy outfit; I went for the opp because I was mesmerized by her appearance.
This is me at this specific photo-opp: http://inlinethumb26.webshots.com/47001/2661791900103850009S425x425Q85.jpg
All in all, I enjoyed every minute of the trip!:)

Hey Gang!
Sorry for the delay and responding here Post-Event.....today is the first day i have had a good chunk of time to devote to posting. As regular readers of my recent posts know, i have a terrible time posting here since the Forum changed over to a new server a couple months ago. I have to really have a block of time now to finagle things on my computer now to get the post options to work..but bear with me...i have been wanting to write about Cv SeVen!
First off - i want to thank EACH AND EVERY ONE of YOU, the Fans, that made the trip out to join us this year at CheeseVention SeVen. I hope everyone, adults included, had a great weekend....and that the disspointments we experienced did not effect your overall adventure. There were a LOT of new faces this time around...and many familar ones too..which was AWESOME to see! I want you all to know how much it means to us knowing we are able to bring people together like this.
Here is a overview of the weekend....
Friday night J, Cheryl, myself, and Menutia arrive in town in the late afternoon rearing to go. Our Co-Host Richard ends up arriving at the Hotel around the same time we do, so it was perfect timing. We all now have to rush like maniacs to set up not only the 'Lounge' displays in my room...but also Richard has to set up his large portable puppet theatre in HIS room for video taping a segment of his cable access show! So we were pretty much hitting the ground running after that long drive from Boston.
After an hour or so ( hard to remember at this point...) enough things are in order to begin the video shoot. Looney Bird appears with Rapid T. Rabbit to film a segment for a forthcoming episode of 'Rapid T. Rabbit & Friends' discussing the Rock-aFire's 30th Anniversary. It all goes by in a blur as as soon as filming wraps, we all have to run off to change for going into town to see a Broadway show! That evening is spent taking in one of NYC's famous stage shows....and driving around Times Square like one was riding Big Thunder Mountain at Walt Disney World ( eeeyah! Weee!).
The next day, Saturday, is the BIG DAY! We all meet up downstairs at the Hampton Inn for a jolly breakfast ( waffles! YUM!) and slowly but surely Fans start to arrive. You can see them coming from a mile away as they have on their decorated Colanders! It was fantastic to see so many Fans bring one...and wear it! Special custom made Prizes were awarded to everyone who wore their decorated Colander....a mini set of glossy Rock-aFire Explosion 'Colander Head' photos..PLUS three mini Parody Posters! Woo!
At 9am everyone was led up to 'The Lounge' ( my hotel room) and was surprised to discover myself and Billy Bob there to welcome them! I was dressed up as a Showbiz Supporting Cast employee...and Billy Bob wore his usual overalls. J arrived sporting his outrageous Colander and striped CEC Trainers shirt. This party was not ready to get started....almost 30 people packed into one hotel room, you better beleive it!
After formal introductions and a big welcoming message, the ofifcial Cv SeVen Programs were presented and passed out. Also, everyone recieved a special directions card that looked like a party invitation to Billy Bob's 30th Birthday at Fun Zone. Folks then spent the moments remaining looking over the collectible and albums we had brought....and taking photos of themselves with Biily Bob before he had to depart for Tennesee.
Folks were then led into 'The Showroom' next door ( J's room) and treated to a surprise - a LIVE performance onstage of THE KING and 'Rocker Chuck E.'! We were very very fortunate to be able to have The King grace us with his presence...it is the first time in over 25 years he has ever performed before a live audience in this fashion! People were pop-eyed. Unfortunately our playback system was not cooperating though...so the musical segment did not go as smoothly as planned. Despite that dissapointment, i think everyone really enjoyed seeing him...and getting photos with themselves with both stars after the short show.
After the photo sessions, Fans made their way down back to the Hotel lobby to await our next activity - visiting NYC and having Lunch at the fabulously space-themed resturant 'Mars 2112'!
'Mars' was pretty awesome....completely themed, right down to a flight simulator before entering the main dining area ( though sadly this was not working the day we arrived! Du'oh!). Soon after we were seated we were treated to visits by the resturants own alien residents, QTP ( Cutety Pie, the three eyes girl alien..) Captain Orion ( green insectiod-like alien..) and The Empress ( Ruler of Mars)! They all spent quite a bit of time with us, but by far Captain Orion ROCKED. He was fantastic...totally in character...and LOVED US!! We liked him just as much! The aliens and staff did several 'Live Shows' while we were there, mostly for the multitude of childrens' parties that were going on. It was a great way to spend part of our afternoon!
After lunch some of us broke away from the main group on our way out to the next destination - FUN ZONE - to celebrate 'Billy's' 30th Birthday. Danny E. did a great job pretending to be 30....good practice for when he really IS a few days later! Fun Zone was your basic family entertainment/arcade complex....yet another CEC knockoff...but this one had a full 3 stage Classic Rock-aFire! That was good....but the bad news is it was NOT WORKING! Du'oh! Yeah, another let down...but to be honest i think most of us coming expected this to happen as Fun Zone had been reported to have a questionable show in the weeks leading up to CV. Although we had people with us in the building that new the Show system like the back of their hand, the FZ people would not allow us to try to get the system started. Of course they can't allow that, to be fair, as it is a liability issue and i personal can understand why our offer was passed over. All in all, i think Attendees still had a fairly decent time there. Lots of photo ops with the Show, as the characters were in photographable positions ( except Looney Bird...who was hiding in a barrel full of trash!)
Cake arrived and all were thrilled to see it decorated with a special RAE theme. After the traditional singing of 'Happy Birthday', a round of 'Sal's Birthday' was sung in honor of the RAE. The three candles on the cake had special meaning - one for each decade the RAE had been around, and it could could be seen as one candle each for the three people directly responsible for the RAE's creation - Bob Brock, Aaron, and Billy Bob. Without them, we would not be celebrating the 30th Anniversary of this show!
After wrapping things up at Fun Zone, most of the Attendees hit 'AdventureLand' down the road. A nice compact family amusement park with some neat things...it was a nice way to end the day. The group then again broke up into seperate parties and most headed back to NYC and then the Hotel. We all needed a good rest after a very full ( and up and down ) day!
Sunday was the traditional 'Breakfast Meetup' and i think for many it was one of the highlights of the Event. It was really the only time since the start of CV that we were all together in one space - together. People could sit back, relax, have more time to talk to one another...and share experiences they had the previous day. The food was great and the atmosphere laid back...so it was a nice way to wrap things up. At that point everyone went their seperate ways...most returning home.
I think Nick's photos perfectly capture all that happened...so after reading the above be sure to check out his photos again!
I hope everyone had a BLAST...and are looking forward to NEXT YEAR!
:)
