Here's something for someone to investigate....

I found this video while pruning through Youtube and this store has a modern walkaround Chuck and is still using the Rocker stage. The numbers on the house are clearly #335, but the stage looks quite different from the Rockford, IL pics that Trey posted awhile back. Check out the vintage cosmetics on Jasper.

Just wondering where this store might be. I have a store roster somewhere, but am too lazy to look it up. Plus I'd have to dig through stacks of papers to find my list.

Hmm... that's strange. It does say private... I'm getting the same deal now that I'm logged out. Let me try something.

I'm begining to hate YouTube.

Anyway try this video, it should work this time:

Veganova i believe store #335 is Grand Rapids MI. 28th street. I visited it a few years ago and they had studio c alpha. what i can recall is they had the 3 stage before but am unsure. i know Darryl also visited this store. it's on his picture page..
:D :D

Hi!

Yeah you're correct... store #335 is Grand Rapids. I dug up my store roster (pretty outdated, it's from 2001) but the number and location checks out.

Well that sucks. I was hoping this old stage was still around. Seeing the new style Chuck in the video got me excited. :rolleyes

Thanks for the info though. It was so much easier to look it up in the roster by knowing what region the store was in.

Yeah, that video is new.

It can't be older than a few years.

This store HAS to be out there.

Okay, someone needs to contact the person on YouTube and just ask them what city!!!

Regarding the lei...it's possible the video is older and the cm is wearing it simply as a party favor leftover.

These are often left behind after some parties.

Just a thought to add into the mix. i would'nt rely on the lei as a definate dating item.

I will have to check this video out....YouTube is a pain for me as i have dial-up and it can take up to a HOUR to download a 2/3 min video!

Sounds worth the wait though.....

From the above descriptions ( based solely on what's being used during the show) i would date it as early 90's, or even tail end of 89'.

Chuck is wearing the Avenger costume...that means this video can't be older than April 2004. Grand Rapids has been company owned since 82, so the house # is obviously a deception. How long have live show bandstands been out of production?
This is definitely from Summer of Fun. The lei is a hint, the birthday puzzles are the numbered cake, and the kid's cups are the purple wax kind, so this is between the "More Fun" cups and the modern cups.
However, that cast member is wearing a nametag, meaning she is not by any means a new employee, because we're still pre-lanyards in this video.

Also I *think* I hear a modern skee-ball machine in the background. And it is not from the 80s, as they have posters from the '93 era.

LOC#335 Had old games when i was there like ninga turtles, juggling Jasper, Diggers prize. there show room was big it was almost as big as a 3stage location. some one should call and see if they did have that stage before.

wait a sec if it is Location 335 then they like Albequrque,NM if that same location is still around must have switched from the porch to Studio C there is NO way if that location in ? is 335 then that could've been a 3 stage NO WAY

this video makes no sense to me... I haven't heard of a cec nametag since 2002 or earlier, the purple kids cups signifies between more fun and summer of fun, the avenger didn't hit until after summer of fun, the bday tablecloth is consistent for late 2002, i'm labeling this as an oldschool employee at an oldschool store with a manager that orders too much b/c the only thing we can definitely date is the costume...2004

I saw some of the pics on the wall and i believe i remember seeing some of them but i am unsure. when i was there they had the 2 nec tv's like the 3 stage had so i wonder if the porch stage had those monitors....
