Dear member of ShowbizPizzaForum.com,
We’re proud to announce the forum has reopened with a fresh, new look! This upgrade has been quite an adventure for everyone. We would like to start off by thanking you for your patience and understanding during this process. As you may be aware, our original plan was thrown off course due to technical errors but it was necessary to finish the upgrade to provide a more efficient and secure community. Believe it or not, our work still isn‘t done! We figured our members would rather be able to visit the forum again rather than wait even longer to get the complete experience all at once. But now that we’re back up and operational, let’s take a quick look at just a few of the new features:
*** Brand new user interface! ***
Well, we weren’t really planning on a change until we discovered that our layout was no longer supported by the new software version. After the initial scare of the “white error page of doom”, work quickly resumed to get a layout put together for the grand re-opening.
*** Video Embedding right in your posts! ***
It’s as easy as posting a picture. As a matter of fact, the buttons are right next to each other- just click on the little button with the film strip icon. The video embedding feature supports: YouTube, Hulu, Vimeo, Facebook, Google Video, DailyMotion, and MetaCafe.
*** “Check If Already Posted” ***
One of the common complaints from members is they have to answer the same question many times because many new members are curious about the same things. As you’re creating a new thread, there’s now a button next to the title box that says “Check If Already Posted.” If you’re unsure, enter your thread title and click the button. A window will pop up with the results of similar threads and posts, if any. From there, you can see if your question has already been answered to avoid creating another similar topic.
The other new features will be announced on the forum as they become available. Once again, thanks for your understanding during our extended downtime. We hope you enjoy the new atmosphere and can see how much work goes into keeping the Showbiz Pizza Forum alive.
On a side note, we regained access to our forum email which was unreachable for quite some time. You can once again send your questions, comments, and concerns to webmaster@showbizpizzaforum.com
