This journal might contain a bit of too much information, but hey, we're all adults here (err, most of us).
I was admitted into the emergency room around 2 today for severe pains in my left side.
I woke up fine today at 10:30, had a little bit of pain in my stomach but blew it off as nothing. I lay in my bed for a while listening to some music, then get on the computer at 11:30 or so. Then all of a sudden I had to run to the bathroom. When I was done I felt better, but my left side hurt. I get back on the computer and within 10-15 minutes the pain in my side went from mild to so bad I couldn't sit up. I started gagging, so I ran to the kitchen, then went to lay down on my sister's bed.
The pain got so bad I couldn't even sit still. I was literally writhing on the bed SCREAMING because the pain was so unbearable. My mom thought I was joking, but soon realized I wasn't and took me to the hospital around 1:20-1:30.
When I got to the hospital I was put in a wheelchair. I couldn't even sit up so I was practically falling off of it. My arms and legs were shaking SO bad. I took a Nightmare Before Christmas blanket with me, and I kept trying to throw it off because I was sweating, only to get freezing cold again and desperately try to pull it back on. They checked me out, took blood samples, and tried to have me take a urine sample but I couldn't so they had to do it manually. DDD: I started throwing up (and broke my 'Haven't-Thrown-Up-In-Nine-Years' record, nooo). Then they put me on morphine and some other medicine. Around 6 the doctor came back and said they couldn't figure out what was wrong with me, so he put me on Vicadin and sent me home with a prescription of it.
I'm so afraid the pain is going to come back. This was such a terrifying experience. I've never been to the emergency room before. :( I wish they would have figured out what it was, but they had no idea.
Just thought I'd share my day with you guys. :(
