The new year is almost here and I have to line up vaction days on my job for it, including possibly attending CV7 depending on timing and location. So anything discussed yet?

Though, remembering from the location vote for CV6, general consensus was that CV7 was to be held in Florida, mainly because of the Rock-afires 30th Birthday.

Wow..all of you guys must be psychic...or i am becoming...as i was JUST thinking about CV7 the other day.

In the past, it is usually late January to mid February when we start the 'official' talk and resutling threads related to CV7. It is too early at this point...and J and myself are both still caught up in the insanity that is The Holiday ( egh..retail/entertainment...oy....see ' gimmie material goods now'...)

Once all that nuttiness blows over and we have a chance to relax and wind down after a stressful and time consuming two month period, perhaps then we can start thinking about what we would like to do in 2010.

I am glad to see their seems to be a lot of interest, and people are actually looking forward to the next one! Yeah! This is a great thing, so thanks gang!

I don't know what dates and locations are being considered for Florida, but Star Wars Celebrations V will be in Orlando, August 12 - 15th. Besides being a conflict for some of us, it might also make it difficult to book hotels and transportation that weekend.

Well i guess now is a good time to officially say that a Florida CV is not happening.
Nope, it is not ...

There WAS some talk about a FL Event ..and i will admit i was pretty sure it would happen, but after some serious thought and other considerations it was decided to shelve this location. Apologies to anyone who may have been looking forward to this possibility.

I have some good news though...



There IS a new location that has been decided on that offers a lot more for RAE Fans, CEC Fans, and entertainment fans in general. Plans are being firmed up as i type ( hotel options being decided on right now..) and a few other details need to be covered before we officially announce the location. We already have some fun surprises planned...and even a Special Guest Star tentivly lined up!

And no....it is NOT in MA! Ha ha....:))

It is a place i think most people would want to visit ..has TONS of world famous attractions and entertainment options..a slew of CECs..and even a nice RAE Show ! Better then this, it SHOULD be fairly reasonable as far as air travel rates go for folks to get to. It is also within driving distance to many fans too.

THINK BIG. That is all i will say for now.....

I have decided to attend CV7 when it transpires later in the year. If all plays out smoothly then count me in this time. CV7 is just one of two events taking place in 2010 that I am looking forward to so very much; the other one is my ten-year high school class reunion.:)

Can we have it in St Louis this year maybe? I think that would be pretty neat. You even get to see the arch while your there! I think it should be somewhere in MO like St Louis, The Ozarks, or even Branson.

There needs to be something CEC/SPP related in the area that would attract fans from beyond the region. I don't think the East St. Louis CEC is on that list! Since Chicago hosted the CV last year, it probably won't be in the Midwest for another few years. The CV committee tries to move the location to different regions, where travel is easy and there is a significant fan base already established. This isn't a "rule" exactly, but has been key to having a successful event.

Are there any Rock-afire shows or historic Chuck E Cheese stores in St. Louie?

Well Menutia, there is always the location of the very 1st ShowBiz down south of St Louis. I think it would be pretty neat to go there and check it out even though it's a CEC now. BTW: CEC has a new compeditor :-(. For those of you that dont know what Im talking about,visit www.incrediblepizza.com (http://www.incrediblepizza.com). It's dragging a lot of CEC's business away from them. I wore a CEC employee hirt in there and they brought the manager out and he asked me why I was wearing CEC's shirt in their store. LOL! He didnt make me leave though. That's in St Louis also.

I visited the Incredible Pizza in Omaha a few years ago and I was impressed. The food is offered buffet style and they had bumper cars and go karts as well as a few kiddie rides and a video arcade. No mascot or show though.

WOW that looks amazing ! Thank you for doing this, as i wanted to originally show the lettering with a BLACK background but could not ( for reasons soon to be shown!). Many thanks for going ahead and doing it! It looks awesome this way, with just the lettering.

This week i will be taking some time to color the Logo in full. We already have a lineup of awesome merchandise planned, as last years' CV6' items were extremely popular and successful from a sales standpoint. Veganova did a awesome job with it all, and i specifically designed THIS YEARS Logo with these cool items in mind! So brace yourself, it will be SHARP!

I think Rock-aFire fans will be somewhat happy.....( one in particular i can think of will probably leap in glee..)

I have some fun promotional images coming soon too.....a few things that sprung to mind and made me laugh ( and hopefully you folks, too!). It will take a few weeks to get that stuff together...but it will keep things entertaining in the next month or two...

For now, we are CLOSE ...much closer now to announcing the Location! The official Hotel of CV seVen is now decided, and a very early draft of the planned Schedule of Activties is starting to germinate. Exciting times!

It's hard to not guess where it will be. The suspense is almost unbearable. However, I already have tix for Comic Con in San Diego in July, Cheesevention 7 and Celebrations V are both in August. DragonCon will be September. Celebrations will be in Orlando, Florida, and DragonCon is in Atlanta, Georgia. It would be great to be able to plan a schedule and itinerary as soon as the Cheesevention location is announced.

I have a complete Chuck E Cheese that I would like to bring along. He should be cleaned up nicely by then.

And this year, to make my summer really complicated, I am on the Board of Trustees of Unicamp, and we may be able to expand, and use the camp site that was featured in the Original Parent Trap. If that happens, I may be spending a lot of time up at camp, as an administrator, and won't be able to attend any Conventions before September.

Just waiting for the final date and location to make my decisions.....

Oh, I just finished listening to the Lyrics of the Georg Harrison song, and it sounds like C7 could either be in Milwaukee, or St. Louis. And I'm guessing St. Louis, with its history of Anaheuser-Busch, because of the Missouri River.... At least the lyrics refer to a river, a brewery, and Canadian geese. :bbwink: I’m guessing Mississippi or Alabama, since it’s the Rock-afire's 30th Anniversary and both Damon and Chris both have full 3-stages! They would be the next best thing to Creative and they both can be used as privet locations.... (well more Damon then Chris....) and my guess would be its fairly inexpensive to fly to both locations and we could probably get decent hotel rates in both states. In terms of CEC stuff I'm not sure if there’s anything unique in those states, I know Alabama has some 3-stages but I don’t think Mississippi does, so in the case of CEC there’s not as much to do but nonetheless it would still be cool go CEC hopping! :cecwink:

And no, CV is not in St. Louis! We already had a CV in the Midwest last year ( Chicago) and it will probably be a couple of years before we have another one out in that general area.

I can talk about possible DATES....CV SeVen will very likely be in mid-June. I am awaiting confirmation on the chosen dates...once that if firm we will be ready to begin the promotional onslaught!

I just found out that my ten-year class reunion is slated to happen on the first weekend in the month of June (the 5th and 6th). Therefore, mid-to-late June (or any time afterwards) is alright with me. Once again, I want to attend both events once they are finalized. I look forward to meeting more fellow board members here in person. In addition, CV7 should, indeed, be a ton of fun. I am guessing that it will be held somewhere within my region of the Southeast.

5) Lucky Sevens always show their favor in Las Vegas.

Add all of that to the fact that Vegas has a ton of animatronics in casinos like: Caesar's Palace, Excalibur, and MGM Grand. Rock-Afire Mexican Pizza is a few hours away for those wanting to see it. There are 5 Chuck E Cheese stores, and of course it's only 4 hours to Los Angeles, BABY!

Sorry for the upset on dates folks, but you need to remember where ever we hold it either Jenn or myself needs to be able to attend(being the Cheesevention hosts) and then we need to make sure where ever it is, we have a location host, that knows all about the place we're going , and that person needs to be available, so thats why the date changes!
