I went to the arvada colorado and they have their 3 stage set up with the random movement chip, here's my thoughts, the first thing I noticed was that when the show started the munchs make believe light that supposed to hit the curtains were still working so when the show started it still shined but it shined on the robots instead of the curtain which was cheesy to say the least, another thing I noticed is when it said "showtime" on the screen the robots just moved randomly for 5 minutes before the show actually started....

:lol :rollin That's EXCATLEY what happens at the West Allis and Chase stores out here!!! I don't get that. It gets me confused. The TV says "Showtime," so I get my camera ready, and then they just sit there, and when I'm done waiting for about 10-15 minutes, and go to the arcade, I hear, "OK, everyone! Get ready for our favorite mouse, Chuck E. Cheese!!!" And I'm like, what the frick? lol...

it was annoying and the funny thing is,is that the managers were all there talking to their employees while this crap was going on,I was going to go tell them to take off the MMBB curtain light but I figured I would stay out of it...

not really a glitch. possibly bad program directing. the sept 05 tape has the countdown for the first show at the end of the tape. so when it says "showtime" all locations on tapes still have to rewind the tape before the show actually starts. this is because the tape starts out with the show right away at the beginning. its very awkward.
maybe they thought it would be good to have the show at the beginning for some reason? maybe so thats the first thing that happens (guess youd have to be there at 9am to enjoy this benefit). or maybe so theres a show right after a birthday or live show or something? hmm... seems like you would want a countdown after those though. i dont know. but thats the deal on that. ...to my knowledge

The showtape usually starts with a show, not an intermission. Except for one or two showtapes where they were experimenting with intermissions.
But the tape usually does not end with a countdown and "Showtime". It's usually Monkey Ninjas. But now that more stores are on DVD that seems to be changing since there is no rewind delay.

Bottom line> This whole random movement thing IS wearing out the cylinders ALOT faster now so...I know the 3 stage here was working fine before they added the new eprom now the characters barely work. :(

The techs that have the random movements on 3-stage here also said they have to do more maintenance (i.e. spend more money) because the movements are wearing out faster.

2 stage, Bell, CA. This location is huge compared to the other ones i have visited! this is also the busiest CEC ive ever been to! considering this, i was extremely disappointed to see that their stage was in VERY POOR condition. This store certainly must make enough $ to maintain their stage. They also have one of the largest showrooms Ive ever seen.
This 2 stage had curtains turned off, but *no* random movements. just like the stage i reported about above, the lights just turn off and the characters look frozen like someone sprayed an 8 foot can of raid on the stage...

surprisingly enough, Bell is the leader WEEK IN & WEEK OUT as far as far as sales go among all company owned locations.

wow! all locations!??!!?
i believe it! that place was packed!!!!! it was rediculous. they even had extra dining rooms that were outside of the showroom and gameroom. just random rooms in the corners down the hallways. and even they were all full! they didnt even have TVs in those areas! common now, at least a damn showtape tv! lol
it was my first time there in like 10 years. it looks bigger. the kitchen is in the middle. so i think they expanded it to include the other side that might have been other stores in the past.
it was also the first time i have ever seen the interactive skeeball alleys. pretty awesome concept!!!
that is VERY VERY SAD that the highest $$$ making store in the entire company has a stage that is in such PISS POOR CONDITION!
