I want to update you all on CEC New Orleans, the 2 locations. The Veterans Blvd location is finally finished being remodeled after Hurricane Katrina! The sign on the door announced the Grand Reopening 11/27/06. So I went today and the sign on the door now says "Closed due to Flooding."!! I saw the manager Danny, who had been working at a Texas location since Katrina, he's back. The reason the grand re-opening was delayed , he said, because a few days ago a water pipe broke and flooded the place with 3 inches of water! What luck! None of the games or animatronics were damaged, the carpet and plugs on the floor have to be replaced. I looked around, everything is new since Katrina, it looks like Studio C Alpha but the Chuck looks dressed like in Beta/Cappa. The manager said they are working very hard to get everything done ASAP, hopefully they'll open tomorrow or the day after.
The manager said the New Orleans westbank location would be re-opened in a few weeks; before Katrina they had the old CU stage, but I don't know what they'll have now.
