Many of you may have noticed that the SP.com Online Shop is closing up on eBay (everything is currently on sale except for the CheeseVention DVDs which support the CV fund are seperate). I will continue to list items for auction and such from time to time, but the reality of things is that my assortment of stuff for sale has been depleted to the point where there's just not that much left.
So we're switching gears to a different venture. The new Online Shop will be part of Printfection, and deliver professional quality merch. I just recently spent about $100 testing some of the designs and they arrived yesterday. There were a few minor issues which I've corrected (PNG files and gradients don't always translate well to a final printed product), but overall I was very pleased with the products. I'm not 100% on the way they produce the clothing, but they look and feel as though they were made with a professional screen-printing process (especially on the dark colors). We chose Printfection over CafePress because of quality, available print size, and color choices. They don't have the range of product types but I was far more impressed with the quality Printfection had to offer.
I also tested some of the drinkware products and they look amazing - when you preview them, the images appear distorted. Having a frosted mug in hand, I can tell you that the distortion is just from the "warping" application they use to generate the preview. The final products look just as you'd expect them to without any distortion whatsoever.
Now, I didn't get a chance to buy every design and product type, so I only know about the ones that I purchased, but I thought it was nice. That being said, I do feel comfortable showing off the new store as a "beta test" to the fans.
