After a long, hard struggle going from all F's to nearly straight A's, in just 3 hours I'll be out of high school forever. I just recieved my last grade (an 'A' in Civics), and once the office gets it in the system I have to go talk with the principal and I'll get my diploma. The graduation ceremony is in December.
As for my plans, I'm putting in an application at Jo-Ann Fabric and Craft store tomorrow. I'll be starting Mesa Community College in January. After that I'm moving up to Pennsylvania to attend Tom Savini's Special Effects school.
I'm really proud of myself right now, just thought I'd share my happiness! :)

Wow congratulations!! I remember how I felt too... "Whew!"
I was the same way, I did bad most of the time and was hardly there but I just turned it on senior year and high tailed it out of there... #:-S

Congrats Mrs. Isabella!
I be posting this same thread in a few years, lol.
Good luck at getting a job, I've heard different things about the employee discounts, mostly that there pretty good.
Good luck with life!

Special effects school, huh? That sounds awesome! I've always loved that kind of thing - I took a stage makeup course a few years ago...very interesting stuff.
Good luck with the Jo-Ann job!

You're going to Tom Savini's Special Effects school? Wow...congratulations on that one!
Whether's he's acting in Creepshow{greatest sanitation worker ever}, Lost Boys:The Tribe, Martin, or Knightriders{greatest "Renaissance biker" ever}, or whether he's directing Tales from the Darkside episodes... the man puts out quality work.
You'll be learning from a master, for sure.
Without him, I don't know how either Dawn or Day of the Dead would've turned out{not to mention Texas Chainsaw 2, the Creepshow films, or the 1st and 4th Friday the 13th movies}.

I love a good graduation story! Academic success makes me so happy! And just think, all that fabric at the employee discount. I'm so jealous!
YOUR STORY MADE MY DAY. I'm sorry I didn't catch it sooner!

I'M OFFICIALLY A GRADUATE.
I walked and got my diploma today. I'm so very proud of myself! At the high school I went to, we each had home rooms and then two other classes. At graduation, we went up by home room. It's a very small school, so only like 2-4 kids per home room were graduating today. But it was real special, because the home room teachers actually kept you up there and said something about each student.
My home room teacher, Cat, told everyone about my costume-making and then announced that I love Chuck E. Cheese (xDDD) and some guy screamed 'Chuck E. Cheese is dead!' to which I gave him a "Wut?" look.
But...I got my diploma, I went to Coco's for lunch, and I'm officially a graduate!
And to celebrate, this weekend my ex-boyfriend is taking me to Six Flags, then up to Visalia so I can see a 3-stage in person for the first time (y'know, and pretend Jasper is Beach Bear. hurhurhur).
