CEC Ticket Blaster!

Well heres something cool that all San Antonio stores are going to be a test for. This is called the CEC Ticket Blaster. Now some of yall who went to home office about a year ago saw the test prototype that was at home offive and then moved to the Irving location sometime in early 2009. Well its come a long way from the prototype at home office but here are some pics of the new CEC Ticket Blaster. This is also an exclusive for RESERVED Birthday Parties as of right now.

DESCRIPTION : Its simliar to a Cash Can where air blows the money all around and a person attempts to catch the money. The idea of the Ticket Blaster is that where a Bday Star goes inside and catches...well flying tickets.

It would be an interesting and great addition. The only thing I would ponder about is where would they put it? There are stores out there that can handle it, but there is stores that are probably 10 years or younger that have limited space.

Yeah the placement is something I was curious about too - I was meaning to ask if the photos shown were where it's actually located in the SA stores or if it was just there temporarily when these photos were taken.

I'm pleased that it's not next to the stage. The last thing the show needs is more distraction. :)

Yes they are. This is at my location(Stone Oak) and I got confirmation from Gabe that he saw them at 2 other store in town as well.

Well it is but they're securing them to the ground somehow... I was at the Military Dr. location when they were installing it and puting the floor decal on... But I only was there long enough to see them move it into position which there, was next the the 2-stage(Pasqually's side) next to the Chuck E. room. They're even taking out a booth or 2 on corners if need be like at Military Dr. and Ingram Rd. So the last 2 booths in this picture are gone now...

Well I think it is just based on the layout of the store cause the installer that was at Military Dr. was on the phone with someone saying stuff like "Well, I'm at #417 and you have it here but there's a door here(Chuck E. Room) but at #565(Stone Oak) so and so..."

I saw it saturday at Ingram Rd. actually on demo mode which is cool cause it's lit up(LED rope lights) and randomly starts blowing tickets around and prerecorded messages from Chuck play! :->

Update on Ticket Blaster

Ok so heres the info i aquirred from my managers about the Ticket Blaster

This is going to be a test for Birthday parties. However if the Birthday Star Birthday Star is too scared to go in they can have someone else go in for them.

Inside the Blaster there are of course tickets, however there are special "Chuck E Cheese's Ticket Blaster" logoed tickets in there as with different colors and amounts

Now if your a regular guest who wants to get in it thats not a problem but theres a catch :-O If your a guest who jus wants to get in there for fun or for a "walk in 8-|" that will cost you $9.99 for only 25 seconds in the Ticket Blaster @-). Amazing huh? Well thats all the info i have at the moment...........let the dissusion continue.........


P.S and I'm sure between Pizzacam and myself we can get pics of where its located at all locations in San Antonio so you can see where its placed at the varoius type of locations here in town :D

Yeah it's meant to go nationwide but San Antonio's just the test city for right now... ;)

They just started using it this tuesday even though they were installed last friday...

So, they only get the tickets that they can catch and hold for the 25 seconds, right?

it seems like some of the testing areas are completely random! (that's a good thing!)

I know when our new store opened in 2006, we were one of three stores testing new uniforms. I think the other two were Fort Worth and Grapevine in Texas, if I'm not mistaken.
I kept one of the shirts as a memento since they didn't last, and I know Franchize has one too! (he's worn it in a few of his videos!)

When the card reader systems began testing, they utilized them in parts of California, Milwaukee area, in Irving Texas, and a few other random places.

I've heard there's new games being tested now as well, and our stores in Altamonte Springs and Brandon Florida are two of the alleged test stores...I'll have to visit to see IF and WHEN this is happening.

Now that I've seen the video I definitely think that this is like Fun Time America's Concept in our area. But it shoots out Ticket COUPONS, and there counted and they tell you the total. And it's more square then round and there's some ramp to keep the tickets from falling under.

I think it was a success. I've seens some listings of game enhancements, and the ticket blaster was on a couple. They are probably just expanding the tests. Looks really cool though!

according to the 4th Qtr/Year End Conference call the test was indeed a success and the ticket blaster will be in ALL locations by June.

La Mirada, CA got it on Monday the 26th. I've been told by people that went in it that the blower is surprisingly strong and most think it's going to be too scary for the little ones.

The Ticket Blaster is at my local CEC in Mira Mesa & at La Mesa, CA. This thing is very loud! Haha. I love how it just starts up randomly every 30 minutes or so.

Ah yes, I noticed that the blaster says 30 by default. 25 seconds is a weird number anyways. How is the blaster controlled anyways? Is it controlled directly? via touch screen? or what?

Anyways, from what I've seen and heard everyone is rolling out the 2010 Birthday Campaign starting June 1st. If you book a party at any store now for June, you'll see some of the new options listed such as the two hour parties. There will be more additions to the Super Star party package, will share more details later.

I still can't believe that this concept has made it this far! Very cool to see. When I first saw one of these contraptions back in 2008, it was still very much a prototype...it really is a cool idea, I hope it's successful.

Well from what I heard from some of the guys at home office they said all location are going to get the Ticket Blaster. There are over 580+ of these things being produced for store use.

Also Idk if all stores have gotten this or not but they are updating the Ice Cream Machine as well. Updated with new decals and NEW Ice Cream

It's not a 'promoted' option, yet. Kinda like the birthday medallion can indeed be purchased if you ask. We now have that option on the registers.

I saw the Blaster at a NW Indidana CEC last night. It was not used for a party, but ready to go right next to the CEC stage. Great concept and design. Really awesome job!

Correction Danny....The Ticket Blaster is EXCLUSIVE to birthday parties now. From what ive heard there not offering it to walkin parties or anyone its now ONLY for the reserved parties

Yeah! People ask me all the time how they get in there. I should stamp a note on my forehead. I mean come on! It says it right in front of the thing. It's funny since some kids actually try to put tokens in it. But yeah, from what I've observed, the kids are kinda responding to it like that.
