Well I was just curious on which stage is everybodys favorite!
I dont know, but I think this poll has been done before, but if has lets pull the old one up and moderators can delete this one.;)
BTW!! I am not putting studio Cappa and Road Stage on this cuz I know no one would vote for them!:rollin

well the fact that I can't stand studio-c,and the fact that I have never (in person) seen the one stage and two stages would have to vote for the 3 stage, mainly because of the RAE and the fact that they have more movements... I would have to pick the 2 stage as my second favorite....

Well, growing up, I'd normally see the one stage, and I really love it!:D I hate the fact that one day, when I walk into CEC, my memoir of the one stage will be changed forever :( :o :|

Out of the current CEC stages I said 2 stage. I dont like Studio C at all. My favorite store has a 1 stage but it's virtually the same as the 2. CEC just isn't off by himself and there is a bit more scenery. I actually voted 2 stage but after thinking about it I'd probably say 1 stage. I'll leave my vote where it is cuz no one has voted for the 2 stage yet.

Actually, I really DO prefer the classic late 80s stuff, however I really grew up with our 1 stage, so that got my vote. Perhaps you should of made the poll:
*Studio C (all versions)
*PTT stages (1977-1991)
*MMBB 1
*MMBB 2
*MMBB 3
I think that would of been the way to do it, but this works out just fine. :)

Jeez,:rolleyes , sorry|I :\ Maybe I should of never made this poll if you want that way.>:
Anyways, maybe I should of rewrote what I said above and said "Howdy y'all, I was just wondering what was everyones favorite NEWER stages were.".....>:

Dude, chill. I wasn't insulting you in ANY way, trust me. I was just saying maybe we should have added PTT stage, since that seems to be the favorite. I'm sorry if I got you upset, man. Nothing personal. :\

:rollin I was never upset! I was just joking with ya!;) :rollin
Anywho,
since that seems to be the favorite
Does everyone agree here, or is that just Ryan's opinion!????! >D

I love my 1 Stage because it has
the CEC turntable for LIVE/B-Day
performances. That's probably
the only reason I didn't say 2-stage.
In my opinion, the 3 Stage looks fake.
It's a insult to the RAE, and I feel that
if CEC was gunna scrap it, then dammit
scrap it all. It looks rathertacky and
extremely artificial. It just looks wrong.
My favorite Studio C, however, is Beta.
I know, everyone likes Alpha. However,
to me Beta doesn't look as flashy, and
I hate with a passion the center console
of Alpha. Beta looks cooler. The only thing
that'd make it better would be a few more
lights, and some more movements.

3-Stage. Part because I'm reminded of the RAE every time I see it, and part because there is one at Ft. Collins #865 (not sure if they still have it, haven't been there since August)

my favorite is by far the 3 stage. part because i grew up with it (rae) and part because theres just so much more you can do with it. have skits with just certain characters. have one say bye to everyone and close just their curtain. etc. u get the point.
the lakewood, ca store was the one i grew up with. it had rae. then had cu 3stage. then alpha. now beta but still with the control panel in the center that the kids can play with. i actually think the panel makes alpha a lot better than beta. i even think its fun to mess with lol. the fun factor outweighs the annoyances like the loud clapping and character voice buttons. and i thought the late night concept with the desk was actually cool. anyways... im rambling. lol
back to 3 stages... yesterday i found one that still has a cu 3 stage! its the cec in Garden Grove, ca

oops... my mistake... the 3 stage was in Fullerton, CA
(sorry, got a little confused there for a sec. but i have an excuse... i visited 4 cec's yesterday :P)
...ive been on a hunt for a 3 stage, and i was so excited to finally find one!

Yeah I wish I could've seen the (full) house stage, but yeah the 3 stage is really the best one I think. I mean with Studio C its all lights, for my money I'd rather see more animatronics than lights...working or not. :lol

I mentioned this in another thread, but I was in Rockford last summer and saw their house stage. It was basically non-functional at that time. The whole time it was just very sparse random movements while the showtape just played.
Sad....but was interesting to see, since I grew up with SPP and never saw the early CEC stuff.

RAERocks, do you have any footage or pics from Rockford, or more info!!! I'm SO interested in that location!!!! I need to hear more!!!

Sorry I don't have any pics. I wish I had some to share, but I stopped there kind of randomly and my friend and I didn't have our cameras.
Info on the store. It was kind of nostalgic. It looked like an old CEC with updated signage/games. The coolest part was that it was completely windowless. It is inside of a mall, so adding windows isn't possible.
The location itself was kind of run down and quite sad. It was interesting though to see the porch stage, even though it was barely functioning.
Hope that helps...

What kind of old stuff do they have? And by mall, do you mean a shopping center (plaza, etc.) or mall (where jcpenney and stuff is)? This location sounds pretty cool!!! BTW, do you think you'll ever go back and get pics and or footage?
RAERocks
10-18-2005, 06:55 PM
No I probably won't return as I don't have a reason to be back in Rockford.
It is in a mall...like a real mall, although the mall looked practically out of business. It was run down and looked as if the CEC was the only thing keeping it going. It was small though, but you walk in the mall entrance and CEC is the first store on the right.
There wasn't anything old in the place except the porch show. Like I said the signage, games were all up to date.
The location was cool, but the condition it is in made it pretty sad.

I've always liked the 3 stage. but I've always had a gripe with that. Why put the drummer on a seperate stage? That doesn't make sense since the drummer would need to be with the main band to keep the beat going. But the problem with the 3 stage show was that they never sung that many songs, Chuck E Cheese and company. Every time I went and saw a 3 stage show, the characters were always watching video clips. Kind of defeats the purpose of what a "band" is supposed to be.
The C stage is just plain horrible and makes the show boring. I don't like watching just one character sing while 4 other characters are on the television monitor singing too.

I think you got your stages mixed up. The "C"-Stage was a retrofit of the balcony stage, or was made new by Animation world. Here's a pic:

The characters watching video clips and not singing was only done for a couple of show tapes many years ago when Studio C first came out. All the rest have been regular singing shows.
The drummer is on his own stage because they want the characters in the same order for all the stages. Since the 3-stage was a retrofit of the rockafire explosion (The drummer was on the center stage), he just happened to be on the side stage when they moved the characters around to make it Munch's Make Believe Band.

Even though I have a 3-stage and love it, and I also love the rockafire explosion, I voted for the Studio C Alpha because I love that 32-movement character and the puppet character personalities, and its new and fresh.

The "C"-Stage was a retrofit of the balcony stage, or was made new by Animation world. Here's a pic:
that's part true. the newer bot's were designed by Animation World while the facade itself was designed by Corman & Associates.

I like that fact of Pasqually having his own stage show.:D it would have been nice if the camera wouldn't have retired though. well could always put a fake pizza oven next to Pasqually in place of camera. lol.

I agree. I think some kind of remodel to the existing stages would make them seem so much newer. I've always thought they should keep the Munch Bands, but change Chuck's stage over to something similar to Studio C. It wouldn't be too expensive, and it would make people think it's a newer show.
If I ever get a chance to work at a store with a 3-stage, I would spend my own money and time completely remodelling the backgrounds.

Yeah since they seemd to go with the whole "late night" thing they could've made the 3 stage a late night set and wouldn't have even need to change Pasqually's Ameteur Hour setup... :lol

Fairfield, California? Well, believe it or not, if things keep going the way they are with my girlfriend, I very well may be moving out to Cali and transferring to FAIRFIELD. If that happens, and the GM and tech there are cool with me, don't worry, I'd remodel that stage in no time! I've already got some ideas in my head, I just need to work it all out.
