Starting September 21st, I will become a Costuming cast member for WDW Entertainment's Costuming and Costumology team. I am excited because it is my first step in the door to the Entertainment world at WDW, just wanted to pass along and let you guys know I'm doing great and loving life!>:D<

Haha, sweet! Congratulations! What exactly is that position, btw? Is it being in-costume or being a handler or something?

When will WDW have costumes for Marvel Comics characters (Spider-Man, Captain America, Hulk, etc.) for its parks now that Disney recently acquired Marvel?

Costuming at WDW means more then just ...well...furry friends guys.

At WDW, 'Costuming' is ALL aspects of the title. ALL uniforms and employee attire of any kind are considered 'costumes' at WDW. Characters are NEVER called costumes..ever! That would be very naughty....as you never want to call a Character at WDW a 'costume character' EEK!

So Matt is getting into the Entertainment Depts' costuming sector. Awesome stuff...this mean he will be dealing with mostly show costumes for the many entertainment options in the Parks as well as character attire if i am correct. He may be a 'dresser' - a CM who helps dress a performer, character or not. Performers range from Streetmosphere performers, musicians, Stage actors/actresses, dancers, and yes...clothing any of the Characters may wear.

Hearing that he is finally getting his toe into this department is VERY exciting. Awesome work Matt! You must be pumped dude, as i know this is where you really wanted to be!

This is how it works down there...it's all about networking and getting to know people. Start at a entry level CM position and start getting to know people. Once they know how interested or up you are for a particular department, you have a better chance of getting in the door then someone freshly recruited by Team Disney Orlando.

Again Matt, awesome news. Be sure to let us all know where you are stationed when you know yourself!

The answer to this is NEVER

Last i heard, Disney is not allowed to use these characters in any of their Theme Parks. It is strictly a print/media/merchandise deal. Remember, Universal Studios in Orlando has 'Islands of Advenure' which is mostly Marvel themed to begin with.

They would be totally out of place. The only Park they could work in and 'fit' would be Disney's Hollywood Studios.
