According to this website, Bret Iwan - a former Illustrator of Hallmark Greeting Cards - is the new voice of Mickey Mouse.

I check this website frequently and it seems the blog author is pretty accurate in his posts. It's just weird that someone outside the Disney Co. was hired to portray Mickey.

Guess we'll see soon enough...

That site is definitely reliable.

I can't find any demos or anything of the guy's work!!!!!
But he DID compete nationally, so I assume he sounds like Allwine. I'm sure Disney wanted continuity in the mouse's voice this time around.

Still sad to think Wayne Allwine is gone... I'll always remember him as MY Mickey Mouse.

Yeah I'm sure that Disney wouldn't just pick up someone off the street for freakin' Mickey! I'll hear this guy's voice when the ice show comes to town in a few weeks.

Here's hoping he can live up to Wayne's legacy. Wayne made Mickey as far as I'm concerned.

Sorry to bump this thread up, but I heard this guys work today. I went to the great Disney on Ice Celebrations ice show, and he was doing his voice, and he's great! He sounds very similar to Wayne, sometimes you forget he passed away and was still voicing him. I have some video footage with Bret's Mickey voice, I'll post it later if anyone wants to hear it, but the sound might not be that good since I used my old digital camera.

So you folks shouldn't worry, we have a talented man voicing Disney's icon!

Well its good that the non-disneyphiles won't realize the guy died!
