Well, I figured that it was overdue that I post up some new art, so I finally set up a thread! Enjoy!

Helen is sitting pretty. :)

I love the attention you gave to her hair; it's whispy and fluffy and oh-so-lovely. <3

Can't believe I'm only just now getting to these.

You do indeed do a fantastic job on inking, very smooth and professional style...coloring is subtle and perfect too, I really like it! Can't wait to see some more, I caught some of your other works from the 'fanart' threads and I really enjoy them. Good to see there's quite a few folks submit such quality works here!

Gee, thanks! That really means a lot. :) I've got some pieces that're buried in my drawer that need to be uploaded and colored. I might even go back and post some older stuff so newer members can see it as well. I just need to go look at what I've got and make a single, organized post with the pictures in there.

Oh please do, I'd love to see some of it again without having to sift through the CEC fan art topic...though I'm probably going to do that anyway, just to tide me over in the meantime.

Alright. Here's a little backtrack post for those of you who missed my older stuff, or who would like to revisit some of my older work. It's in alphabetical order by band member. I'll cover CEC in this post, RAE in the next.

This is most of it. If there's a piece I didn't post you wanna re-see, contact me here or by PM and I'll put it up for ya.

Ok, so it's been ages since I put something up. Time to change that. This is just something I put together quickly. When I was drawing Megavolt (http://fc04.deviantart.com/fs49/f/2009/229/b/6/Megavolt_by_Vega_Three.png), a rat character from the 1990s Disney TV series "Darkwing Duck", my mind kept wandering to "He reminds me of Chuck for some reason" and so this crack drawing came about. Side-by-side they obviously look nothing alike, but none-the-less, my mind wandered. Still does, in fact, lol.

Nice Chuck E. Negavolt drawing, so Negavolt is a rat/mouse like villian.

I wonder if Helen Henny would play Darkwing Duck's love interest Morgana?

Yes Darryl, Megavolt is a rat-like villain, and he's a wacky one at that. He's got quite a fetish for light bulbs, and his crimes usually involve him stealing loads of them (or as Megavolt puts it, "freeing light bulbs from slavery"). Also, I suppose Helen could be Morgana. I can also see Jasper being the Liquidator, another villain from the same show. He's literally made of water due to a freak accident in his company's manufacturing plant (of course).

I'm glad this little piece got such positive feedback. :D

Hey! Chuck's mom doesn't have lines that separate her muzzle from her face! Was that intentional? Just wondering; there was something very clean about her face that I couldn't place until just now.

A nice guess, if I do say so meself. Color? I'd at least like to know if Mom-unit is blonde or brunette.

Yeah, it was intentional. Her face looked ridiculous with solid lines separating her nose from the rest of her face. If I color it, it'd be softly blended in from tan to grey fur.

I shall color them, indeed. Color suggestions for the clothing anyone?

As for her hair color, I'd say a more grey-ish brunette color, kinda like in my revamp of my Dr. C picture. :)

@Harmony: Thanks so much for the critique. :D I'm glad the blending works wonders on her face. #:-S I'd have been completely stumped on how to color her face had it not worked.

DO IT.

@Zeekeroo: I consider anything that's not full-body or doesn't encompass most of the page a doodle or sketch. It's just something that comes to mind, and is drawn with no particular direction. These were practice. I'm trying to work on some perspective stuff. It's something I don't typically do because I find it difficult. But I figure if I never take up a challenge, my art will get pretty boring, stagnant.

I'm glad to hear you like it. When I was done with it I said to myself "I just totally ripped off Isabella, and just changed a few items." But then, I suppose that's what a parody is in some regards. The real credit goes to you anyways for doing the RAE comic.

I love how Jasper is such a [subtly] harsh character that constantly jabs at the band members (mostly Pasqually) to get enjoyment/entertainment. I wanted to add in that sarcastic/cynical side he's gained as the years have gone by. Plus, the awkward moments have seemingly faded away between Helen and Chuck. I get so much entertainment out of those brief moments in the older shows, and wanted to kinda pay it tribute.

If I do make more pages of comics, it'd probably follow this comic. I've totally got a mini-comic in mind right now that came from this comic, and how Jasper was talking about Guitar Hero.

LOL, well I like being ripped off! xDD No seriously, I love it. I loved all the Chuck/Helen awkwardness as well! I was trying to explain Jasper's personality to my sister, because she asked me how I can sit there and listen to CEC music while I work. She told me she couldn't stand Jasper's voice. She was a little surprised to find out the characters actually had different personalities and character, and that people actually cared about them.

But, I'm totally looking forward to seeing more comics from you! :D

It's pretty funny though - a lot of people seem to have a similar reaction to the fact that each character has their own personality. I guess it's pretty unexpected, considering how generally glossed-over the show is by most people.

*shifty eyes* Mebbe. I'd be willing to bet you'd ask for Beach Bear (which I'd totally draw). ;)

@Darryl: I really couldn't say. It's just called Bamboo, and has been a popular line in the Wacom brand for a few year now. Perhaps they call it "Bamboo" because it's a cheap source for quality woods, as the plant grows very quickly. The Bamboo line is popular, which means high production, and they're cheap, but have quality that surpasses pricing. That's just my speculations on the name though. For all we know, they could've just liked the word or thought it would be catchy and easy to remember or something.

Aw, scribbly-Dook. It looks good to me, Vega! You're one of the few people I know who can use thick lines in Tablet and not have them come out looking like balloon animals.

Hmm, perhaps you're using too large of a brush size? I use size 3-5 usually, but I also use size 8 especially when coloring smaller things. Any larger and the lines look un-natural. Maybe try using a smaller brush, or adjusting the tablet's sensitivity. Those two things help a lot with line control. :)

A small piece, left uncolored, which I did the other day while playing a long loop of Miss Independent. Kelly Clarkson has moments in the song that remind me of Helen's style of singing and so this came from mah miiiiiiiinnnddddddd. Ok, silly typing aside, I feel I can only do original stuff with these guys. Totally weird, huh? Maybe I'm just that familiar with the characters, or maybe it's something else. Not sure. In anycase, I like how her hands came out. I was worried they'd pull a fail like most of the hands I draw without references. I was pleasantly surprised. :D

Long-winded jibba-jabba aside, feel free to color this one. In fact, I encourage it. :)
